(Mark 5:1-10)  And they [Jesus and His disciples] came over unto the other [east] side of the sea [of Galilee], into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship [a type of Heaven], immediately there met him out of the tombs [a type of Hell] a man with an unclean spirit [demons, fallen angels], Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains [i.e. control him with physical force]: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces [evidence of the presence of supernatural power]: neither could any man tame him [i.e. control him with soft words (domesticate him into obedience)]. //// And always, night and day, he was in the mountains [of pride: high, manic], and in the tombs [of death: low, depression], crying, and cutting himself with stones [to categorize: this man was a manic-depressive exhibiting extreme inner mental conflict]. But when he saw Jesus [his salvation:“he shall save his people from their sins” Mat 1:21] afar off, he [THE MAN] ran and worshipped him, And [THE FALLEN ANGELS IN THE MAN] cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? [“art thou come hither to torment us before the time?” Mat 8:29] I adjure [charge /// restrain] thee by God, that thou torment me not.  For he [Jesus had] said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit [when did Jesus command the unclean spirit?].  And he [Jesus] asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion [a standard Roman legion consisted of 6,000 men]: for we are many. And he [Legion] besought him [Jesus] much that he would not send them away out of the country [“into the deep (abyss: bottomless pit)” Luke 8:31].

1.       Commentary: “My name is Legion: for we are many” = is a seemingly contradictory statement, until one receives the revelation that Legion is a single fruit (of bitterness) containing many seeds.

(Luke 8:26,27)  And they [Jesus and His disciples] arrived [via ship] at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. And when he [Jesus] went forth to land [be (wax) old], there met him [“ran” to Jesus: Mark 5:6] out of the city a certain man, which had devils [evil fallen angels resident within him] long time [they were firmly entrenched in strong holds in his mind], and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house [he was not domesticated, not housebroken], but in the tombs [houses of the dead (strong holds)].

1.       (2 Cor 10:4,5)  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal [fleshly], but mighty through God to the pulling down [destruction] of strong holds [(fortified); castles, fig. arguments: doctrines of death, tombs];) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity [a prisoner of war] every thought to the obedience of Christ;

a.       Commentary: “every thought” = every fallen angel. Fallen angels (demons) are fruit that has ripened on the internal (inside you) Lucifer-Satan tree of the knowledge of good and evil which is rooted with the “root of bitterness” (Heb 12:15) and growing inside all men. Fallen angels are fully ripened fruit that has “fallen” off the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, fallen fruit = fallen angels (remember, they used to be angels in Heaven until they….); fallen fruit that has taken root in the surrounding mind-soil of the host man. Just as the sower, Christ Jesus, soweth His seed (“The sower soweth the word” Mark 4:14; “The seed is the word of God” Luke 8:11) into the mind-soil of men, so too does Lucifer-Satan sow his seed (his word, the word of Satan through the seed-root of bitterness: Mary = Miriam = Heb: bitterness and rebellion) into the mind-soil of men. The difference being that whereas our Lord sows His seed from the outside of men into men through their ear gate and eye gate, Satan sows his seed from the inside of men because he is already resident inside men through our inheritance of his seed of bitterness from Adam and Eve. Fallen angels are the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil without God’s divine Holy presence and influence; fallen angels are evil deceptive perverted thoughts in our mind, always seeking to divert us from God.

2.       Commentary: “and ware no clothes” = this man had no covering, and walked naked before man and God. He was wild, but more than wild, he was intentionally defiantly wild through the influence and control of Legion, the host of fallen angels dwelling in “strong holds” (tombs) inside him. Natural animals are wild because they do not have “the knowledge of God” (2 Cor 10:5). This man was wild, but both he and the fallen angels had “the knowledge of God.” His wildness therefore clearly indicates gross disobedience “against the knowledge of God” stemming from the root of bitterness (the root of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) that is resident in all men and women.

Amen.
