THE TABERNACLE OF MOSES IS THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST (Chapter 1)

"a body hast thou prepared me...Then said I, Lo, I come
(in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God." (Heb 10:7)

THE LORD OUR GOD IS BUILDING SOMETHING

In the desert wilderness high atop Mt. Sinai God gave Moses two things for us. At least it appeared that they were two things. What were they? Well, He gave Moses the ten commandments including judgments and ordinances: the law. He also gave Moses the pattern of the tabernacle. Two gifts. These both are gifts so-called for they are given of God that we may live. As we shall presently see, these two gifts are really one. Both the law and the tabernacle were given to us in linear form, and became spatial. The law lives through the tabernacle. God birthed the tabernacle. He was the Father. The earthly parent was the willing (Ex 25:1,2,8) married wife (Isa 54:1; Jer 3:1,14,20) corporate body of the children of Israel. Conception (Ex 19:1) to birth (Ex 40:17) was nine months.

MEASUREMENTS

The measurements of the structure of the tabernacle of Moses were originally given by God in cubits. There has never been a standard cubit known to man. A cubit is generally thought to be the distance from the elbow to the finger tip. Now you think about that for a while, and tell me how standard that could possibly be. That particular fact is interesting in itself. The glory of God cannot be known. Most scholars assign from 18 inches to 25 inches in length to the cubit. This allows a great deal of flexibility when one considers that the long side of the court of the tabernacle enclosure/fence measured 100 linear cubits. That converts to between 150 to 208 feet. If the exact linear measurements were important for us to know, God would have given them to us for this present time. He is weaning us away from the linear into the spatial. What can best be said is that the tabernacle of Moses was a large structure.

God speaks to us in symbols because His language is incomprehensible to us. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. A human language is a code consisting of words and numbers which God uses to relate His thoughts. To do this, He must compress His incomprehensible thought way down into a very particular tiny little symbol that we can understand. We must, therefore search out His Word beyond its outward meaning for those inner and higher thoughts if we are to seek His face. To this end, He has given us an indwelling teacher ever ready to guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Praise God. Frequently, the number used by God is the message rather than any linear application. For example: eight = new beginning; seven = completion; six = man; etc. Such would seem to be the case at hand regarding cubits. We will deal with number meanings in a later chapter.

SHAPES

From an eagle's perspective the tabernacle of Moses is two rectangular shapes, one smaller and inside the other in parallel configuration. The outer rectangle is the court of the congregation enclosure/fence made of fine (white) linen, 5 cubits in height and measuring 50 cubits wide by 100 cubits long. The length runs from east to west and the width from south to north. The only opening in this enclosure/fence is a 20 cubit wide linen "gate" of colors on the east side. The gate consists of five linen strips of: fine linen (white), blue, scarlet, and purple. Isn't that interesting? Inside this outer linen enclosure/fence is another much smaller rectangular shape running parallel to the larger. This is the actual tabernacle or "tent" of Moses, as differentiated from the outer structure which is the court of the congregation, also called the court of the tabernacle.

The tabernacle structure is a covered tent measuring 10 cubits wide by 30 cubits long. The length runs from east to west and the width from south to north. The only opening in the tabernacle is a 10 cubit wide linen "door" of many colors to the east. The door consists of five linen strips of: fine linen (white), blue, scarlet, and purple. "I am the door."

INSIDE THE TABERNACLE

Entering through the "door" of many colors into the Holy Place and facing the Most Holy Place, we receive the full light and brightness of the tabernacle. The two sides to our right and left are constructed of shittim wood boards standing one against another. They are covered with gold, softly reflecting in golden hue the bedazzling colors inside. Looking up, the visible ceiling is one layer of linen strips of: fine linen (white), blue, scarlet, and purple. Atop the linen of many colors, hidden from our sight, are three additional layers of animal coverings. They are in ascending order goats' hair, ram skins dyed red, and badgers' skins. Directly in front of us is the inner veil of many colors of fine linen (white), blue, scarlet, and purple. It has golden threaded cherubims woven throughout. It is rent from head to foot. To our right is the golden table of shewbread with twelve loaves of unleavened bread upon it in two stacks of six. To our left over against the golden table of shewbread is the candlestick of pure beaten gold with its seven bowls of oil aflame. Ahead and before the ark of covenant is the golden altar of burning incense, the wafting smoke a sweet savor unto the Lord. Covering the ark of covenant is the mercy seat. It is of two cherubims of pure beaten gold facing one to another with wings stretched forth on high:

*And there will I meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel. (Ex 25:22)

There is no floor. The earth is the floor of it.

BODY PARTS

We will begin our exposition of the tabernacle of Moses by an examination of the words "side" and "sides" as employed by Moses to describe the tabernacle. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible will be used extensively for word definitions. It will usually be comprehensive that we may glean from the corners. There are a number of Hebrew words for "side" such as #6654, 3027, 6763, 6285, 3802, 5676, 3409, 8193, 7023, 6924, 3541, 5439, 2348, 7097, 5675, 4975, 2296, 5437, 7307, 3225, 8040, 6911, 6921, and #5048. As can be plainly surmised, each word has a different connotation.

SIDE #6763: RIB

Side, sides = Strong's #6763 from 6760; a rib (as curved), lit. (of the body) or fig. (of a door, i.e. leaf); hence a side, lit. (of a person) or fig. of an object or the sky, i.e. quarter); arch. a (espec. floor or ceiling) timber or plank (single or collect., i.e. a flooring):--board, chamber, corner, leaf, plank, rib, side (chamber).

FURNITURE WITH SIDES #6763: RIBS

The first occurrence of #6763 is Genesis 2:21 in reference to the ribs of Adam. In Exodus 25:12 our Lord God commands the construction of the ark of covenant (testimony).

*And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one SIDE of it, and two rings in the other SIDE of it. (Ex 25:12)

The ark of covenant is that material representation, or pattern, of God's presence here on earth. It contained the two tables of testimony, the golden pot of manna, and Aaron's rod that budded. We note that only two sides of this rectangular ark are mentioned for He created us in His image. The brasen altar of sacrifice is the only other article of furniture with #6763 ribs:

*And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two SIDES of the altar, to bear it. (Ex 27:7)

The brasen altar of sacrifice is the first article of furniture that we come to upon entering the court of the congregation.

*I am THE WAY, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

The brasen altar of sacrifice has ribs and His name is Jesus Christ. Praise God.

TABERNACLE WITH SIDES #6763: RIBS

Tabernacle means "tent" in Hebrew. Exodus 26 tells us about the south and north sides #6763 of this tent which sits within the open court of the tabernacle. These sides are ribs.

*And thou shalt make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one SIDE of the tabernacle, And five bars for the boards of the other SIDE of the tabernacle.... (Ex 26:26,27a)

So we have ribs on two sides of this tent structure also. Interestingly, the part of this tent toward the east is never mentioned as a "side" for it is not. Neither are the parts of the ark of covenant and brasen altar of sacrifice toward the east and west spoken of as "sides." Although, these shapes are rectangular. Could Somebody be telling us something?

THE TWO SIDES WESTWARD

However, in Exodus 26:27 where we last left off, part b of that verse says:

*...and five bars for the boards of the SIDE [#6763] of the tabernacle, for the two SIDES [#3411] westward. (Ex 26:27b)

What is this? Just when we are starting to get a handle on this rib thing we find an anomaly in the pattern. How can the same side westward be two different kinds of sides, both #6763 and #3411? Further and even more perplexing, how can the side westward be the "two sides westward?" Is that possible? A misprint? No. This same exact reference to the "two sides westward" is found in Ex 26:22,23,27 and Ex 36:27,28,32. This reference usage of #3411 also appears in a couple of other interesting places in the Bible.

SIDES #3411: THIGHS

Sides = Strong's #3411 of fem. of 3409; prop. the flank; but used only fig., the rear or recess:--border, coast, part, quarter, side. //// Strong's #3409 from an unused root mean. to be soft; the thigh (from its fleshy softness); by euphem. the generative parts; fig. a shank, flank, side:--x body, loins, shaft, side, thigh. How many thighs do you have? I have two, and they are both attached to my body. The first side in Ex 26:27b is #6763 meaning in context "of the body" and "of a person" which translates into "body." Whereas the two sides westward are the two thighs of that body, including we might add, the "generative parts." Well Praise God! Thank You Lord. We now perceive from our eagle's vantage a BODY consisting of RIBS and TWO THIGHS. Is there more? Yes.

SIDE #3802: SHOULDER

Side = Strong's #3802 from an unused root mean. to clothe; the shoulder (proper, i.e. upper end of the arm; as being the spot where the garments hang); fig. side-piece or lateral projection of anything:--arm, corner, shoulder (-piece), side, undersetter. The court of the tabernacle on the east is 50 cubits wide and contains the only entry opening into the entire structure from the outside world, from Egypt. This opening is a linen gate of many colors "hanging" between..., well, let us see how Exodus 27 describes it:

*The hangings on the one SIDE [#3802] of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. And on the other SIDE [#3802] shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. (Ex 27:14,15)

The gate was 20 cubits wide in the center between one fifteen cubit shoulder to the right, and one fifteen cubit shoulder to the left. Hallelujah!! Our BODY now has RIBS, TWO THIGHS, and SHOULDERS.

FEET

*And I, behold, I HAVE TAKEN THE LEVITES from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine. (Num 3:12)

*But thou shalt APPOINT THE LEVITES over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and overall things that belong to it: THEY SHALL BEAR the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and THEY SHALL MINISTER unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle. And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites SHALL TAKE IT DOWN: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites SHALL SET IT UP: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. (Num 1:50,51)

The Levitical priesthood has been "taken" by the Lord. They are His. They are ministers. Their ministry is to "minister" to the tabernacle (body). The Levitical priesthood is to "bear" the burden of the tabernacle (body), to carry the body as the Holy Spirit leads. They follow the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. They are to bear this burden by walking on their feet. The Levitical priesthood is the feet of the body. They are wholly the Lord's, and as such, they are Holy. The tabernacle is Holy. In Numbers chapter four the Holy feet of the Holy body are each specifically assigned a burden to bear.

The entire tribe of Levi is Holy and consecrated to the service of God and the tabernacle (body). However, the family of Aaron is separated within the priesthood as the High Priest family, with special service. Only the priests of the Aaronic family could enter into the tabernacle itself, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. Only the High Priest could enter into the Most Holy Place and that on one day a year. This day was celebrated as the Feast of Atonement. This was the sixth feast of seven feasts celebrated during the religious year. Six is the symbol of man. In Genesis chapter 1 God created and completed man on the sixth day.

*And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, IT WAS VERY GOOD. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Gen 1:31)

ATONEMENT

On the seventh day He rested, and man fell into sin. Now, the sixth feast is the Day of Atonement, for the fall. The seventh feast is that of Tabernacles or Booths wherein we enter into God's rest of the seventh day, the millennium. In Hebrew, atonement means: purge, cleanse, forgive, pardon, cover. It was a blood sacrifice. We have celebrated Pentecost (Acts 2), the fourth feast. We have heard and are hearing the sound of the Feast of Trumpets of the fifth feast calling to those still in the Babylonian church, "Come out of her, my people." (Rev 18:4). We cannot directly enter into the seventh feast, the Feast of Tabernacles or Booths without celebrating the sixth feast, the Feast of Atonement:

*But who may abide THE DAY OF HIS COMING? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a REFINER'S FIRE, and like FULLERS' [cleaners'] SOAP: And he shall sit as a REFINER and PURIFIER of silver: and he shall PURIFY the sons of Levi, and PURGE them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. (Mal 3:2,3)

*And some of them OF UNDERSTANDING shall fall, TO TRY THEM, and TO PURGE, and to make them WHITE, even TO THE TIME OF THE END: because it is yet for a time appointed. (Dan 11:35)

*Many shall be PURIFIED and made WHITE, and TRIED; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but THE WISE SHALL UNDERSTAND. (Dan 12:10)

We must be purged and cleansed, and be forgiven, pardoned, and covered by the blood for all our current sins (I John 1:8-10). Then all our sin past and present will be wholly removed. In place of the expunged sin, we will receive the full mind of Christ. Then we will be restored to that complete man in whom God saw that "it was very good."

OUR LORD GOD IS BUILDING SOMETHING

You may ask: What does all this mean to me? Well my friend, you are part of the Levitical priesthood, if, you are a true believer. In Numbers 3:6,9 our Lord commanded that the entire tribe of Levi be presented before "Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him...they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel." The High Priest ministers to the Most Holy Place, the Holy Place, and the court of the tabernacle. The High Priest family ministers to the Holy Place and the court of the tabernacle. The remainder and vastly larger number of all other Levitical families minister to the court of the tabernacle/congregation and to the High Priest family. They do not minister to the Holy Place or the Most Holy Place. I employ the present tense.

HANDS

A distinction has been established by God as to the type of service to the tabernacle a priest performs. The "hand" ministry of Ephesians 4:11 is so-called because it is "the gift of Christ" given as he ascended up on high: His "hand" left in the world to minister.

*And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the PERFECTING of the saints, for the work of the MINISTRY, for the EDIFYING of the BODY of CHRIST. (Eph 4:11,12)

It is His hand. The body is the tabernacle tent itself. The hand ministers to the body. These ministers "touch" for the body of Christ. This is the Aaronic priesthood within the Levitical priesthood. These are the hands of the body. The difference in service becomes clearer as we look at Numbers 4:15.

*And when AARON AND HIS SONS have made an end of COVERING the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; AFTER THAT, the sons of Kohath shall come to BEAR IT: BUT THEY SHALL NOT TOUCH any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the BURDEN of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation. (Num 4:15)

Should the Levites other than Aaron and his sons "touch" any holy thing, they die! The feet are not to "touch" any holy thing lest they die. Why? Because of their contact with the defiling earth. The feet are to bear the burden of the tabernacle, which the Aaronic priesthood shall "cover" with their hands. Deacons and elders assist the hand ministry and minister to the court of the congregation. They bear their assigned burdens as part of the Levitical priesthood. The deacons and elders are the feet of the body. Our BODY now has RIBS, TWO THIGHS, SHOULDERS, HANDS and FEET.

COVERING

The "laying on of hands" (Heb 6:1,2) is a foundational principle of the doctrine of Christ. It is a covering. The covering is the skin of the body which also has to do with Old Testament leprosy in type. Nevertheless, it is indeed a covering as in the animal skins layered atop the tabernacle, which we will discuss in another chapter. We are ordained by the presbytery for service in the body of Christ by the "laying on of hands." We anoint the sick with oil (James 5:14) by the laying on of hands. How else? Are we to throw it at them? When the hand is laid upon something, or someone, that object is underneath, is submitted to the covering hand. The hand covers that object and imparts something to that object, even if it only be shade. That which is imparted can be substantial providing the object is "willing" to receive it (II Cor 8:12). Praise God.

WE LABOR

We are the hands and feet of this tabernacle body. We labor, but not in vain:

*And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have NO INHERITANCE in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I AM THY PART and thine INHERITANCE among the children of Israel. (Num 18:20)

*After these things the word of the LORD [Jesus Christ] came unto Abram in a vision, saying, FEAR NOT, Abram: I AM THY SHIELD, AND THY EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD. (Gen 15:1)

Although the Levitical priesthood received no part of the land, they did receive 48 cities located on both sides of the Jordan river in which to live. They also received the tithe for their sustenance.

*And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the TENTH in Israel for an INHERITANCE, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. (Num 18:21)

Holy goes to Holy. The Levitical priesthood is Holy, and the tithe is Holy:

*And concerning the TITHE of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the TENTH shall be HOLY unto the LORD. (Lev 27:32)

In these last days of great apostasy which anticipates the Day of Atonement when Christ Jesus will return with the great restoration may we hear the words of Nehemiah:

*And I perceived that the portions of the Levites HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN THEM; for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field. Then contended I with the rulers, and said, WHY IS THE HOUSE OF GOD FORSAKEN? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place. (Neh 13:10,11)

SIDE #6285: MOUTH

Side = Strong's #6285 fem. of 6311; prop. mouth in a fig. sense, i.e. direction, region, extremity:--corner, end, quarter, side. A final note to the usage of side is #6285 indicating mouth. Mouth is employed to describe the wooden boards of the tabernacle on the south and north, excluding the two sides westward which are always and exclusively thighs. The usage of #6285 for the boards is in addition to #6763 = ribs. Thus our Lord would indicate another meaning to the boards.

There were 48 boards "for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up" (Ex 36:20), overlaid with gold. These boards supported the tabernacle. They are a symbol of men covered with God's glory. There were 48 cities given to the Levitical priesthood in which to dwell. Twenty boards were the south side, and twenty boards the north side, and six boards for the two sides westward. An additional single board braced and supported the southwest corner and an additional single board braced and supported the northwest corner. Six of the Levitical cities were designated as Cities of Refuge. In cases of unintentional manslaughter a man would flee into the closest of these cities for protection from the victim's avenging family. An eye for an eye. These six cities of refuge were separated three to the east of Jordan, and three to the west of Jordan. Isn't that fascinating?

In addition to being the ribs standing (Eph 6:10-18) in support of the body, as mouth the Levitical priesthood "speaks" to the people. That they are indeed commanded to "speak" is made clear by a description of their 48 cities in Numbers 35 wherein only #6285 mouth is employed for side:

*And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about. And ye shall measure from without the city on the east SIDE [#6285] two thousand cubits, and on the south SIDE [#6285] two thousand cubits, and on the west SIDE [#6285] two thousand cubits, and on the north SIDE [#6285] two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities. (Num 35:4,5)

Someone was doing some shouting there!! Further, a vision of the future millennial Oblation and Sanctuary is found in Ezekiel 47 and 48. The descriptions employed therein concerning the disbursement of the promised land to the tribes of Israel are side #6285. Thus the sides which are the borders of the tribes and the borders of the earthly city of Jerusalem are also the mouths of the land. Through these mouths all of God's people shall "speak" to all the world during the millennium. Everybody is gonna be shoutin' then! Hallelujah!! A prophetic fulfillment of Matthew 24:14 resulting in Revelation 21:1, The End. What? Know ye not that Christ Jesus is multi-dimensional?

This same side #6285 = mouth is used when describing the court of the tabernacle/congregation fine linen (white) enclosure/fence. Well, you tell me: is it an enclosure or a fence? Kinda depends doesn't it? The south, north, and west sides are all denoted as #6285 mouth. This excludes the side to the east which always remains shoulders. These mouth sides represent the people of the congregation clothed in white linen as they "speak" to other people inside and outside the congregation, before the millennium. This is their "witness." Interestingly, the tabernacle boards which are the Levitical priesthood are denoted both ribs as part of the body, and mouth that speaks. Whereas the three sides of the court of the tabernacle/congregation are only designated as mouth sides (Ex 27:9-13; 38:9-13). They are, however, attached to the shoulders much in appearance as unto a fine linen (white) garment. Shoulders has an additional #3802 meaning: TO CLOTHE. The WORDS that we SPEAK from our MOUTH are a COVERING, a fine linen (white) GARMENT before the Lord. The CHURCH is the GARMENT and prophetic bride (married wife, Isa 54:1; Jer 3:14) of the BODY.

THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH WILL COME FROM THE EAST
(Ezek 43:1-4)

*Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the HEAD of the wife, even as CHRIST IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH: and he is the saviour of the BODY. Therefore as the CHURCH is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the CHURCH, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious CHURCH, not having SPOT, OR WRINKLE [a pure white garment], or any such thing; but that it should be HOLY and without BLEMISH. (Eph 5:22-27)

*for the LORD hath created a NEW THING in the earth, A woman [the church garment] shall COMPASS a man. (Jer 31:22b)

*[She] I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. [He] Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee. (Song of Solomon 1:1; 4:7)

GOD HAS A PLAN AND A PATTERN.
THE PLAN IS THE LAW, THE PATTERN
IS THE TABERNACLE. THEY ARE ONE.

Our BODY now has RIBS, TWO THIGHS, SHOULDERS, HANDS and FEET, it SPEAKS, and has a GARMENT. But what does it say?

GOD IS BUILDING SOMETHING

*A NEW HEART also will I give you, and a NEW SPIRIT will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an HEART OF FLESH. And I will put MY SPIRIT within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. (Ezek 36:26,27)

Jesus Christ is that "new heart," that "heart of flesh." The Holy Spirit is that "new spirit... my spirit," the Spirit of God: the breath of God.

*And the Word was made FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

The entire body of Jesus Christ is the entire Word of God. The entire Bible is the body of Jesus Christ.

*Think not that I am come to destroy the LAW, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to FULFIL. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the LAW, till all be FULFILLED. (Matt 5:17,18)

Jesus came to fulfill the law in Himself, in His own body. Jesus Christ is the law made flesh, in a body. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law, and He added grace and mercy (heart) to the law. The linear law became, spatial, multi-dimensional. It could stand up and talk and walk. He is what we are becoming. The tabernacle, which is His/our body, the body of Christ, is the embodiment of all the law. Together, these two linear gifts, the law and the pattern of the tabernacle, are becoming a new multi-dimensional body, a new creature in Christ Jesus.

The law is linear. The law is one-dimensional. The law is mechanical. It demands absolute perfection. It is a perfect machine. It is a perfect killing machine. It is not human. It is not possible for a normal human being to fulfill the law because we are not perfect. The law is lines etched on stone. It is a draftsman's plan. The law is a blueprint. A blueprint is a pattern. The tabernacle was given to Moses in pattern form. Both the gift of the law and the gift of the tabernacle were linear, because, that is the only code that we could then understand. Jesus Christ was perfect. He perfectly fulfilled the law. He added love to the law. The law became human.

*Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS. (Matt 22:37-40)

All the law of 613 laws, ordinances and judgments is in these two commandments, but Jesus Christ had to die to give the law life (John 12:24). He did everything the law demanded. It demanded perfection. He was perfect. It demanded death for sin. He died. He was the law, and the law died with him and in Him, and was resurrected into life.

*And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Rev 21:3)

God is not linear. He is spatial. He is multi-dimensional. He is Spirit. Our BODY now has RIBS, TWO THIGHS, SHOULDERS, HANDS and FEET, a MOUTH that SPEAKS, HEART, SPIRIT, FLESH and BREATH.

FLESH AND BLOOD

*And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, TAKE, EAT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, DRINK YE ALL OF IT; FOR THIS IS MY BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matt 26-28)

The Word in red. The Word that Jesus spoke in the New Testament is the blood of the body. "Drink ye all of it."

*Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I AM THAT BREAD OF LIFE. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I AM THE LIVING BREAD which came down from heaven: if any a man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and THE BREAD that I will give IS MY FLESH, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, EXCEPT YE EAT THE FLESH OF THE SON OF MAN, AND DRINK HIS BLOOD, YE HAVE NO LIFE IN YOU. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. HE THAT EATETH MY FLESH, AND DRINKETH MY BLOOD, DWELLETH IN ME, AND I IN HIM. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is the bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread SHALL LIVE FOR EVER. (John 6:47-58)

We have the blood. Do I hear a chorus of Praise Gods?? Yes. And I hear the angels singing. Hallelujah! Our BODY now has RIBS, TWO THIGHS, SHOULDERS, HANDS and FEET, a MOUTH that SPEAKS, HEART, SPIRIT, FLESH, BREATHE, and BLOOD.

BONES

Last but certainly not least are the bones. The bones really came first but we couldn't handle it then. Let us try it now. The bonus for patiently waiting until now is that we are going to prophetically see the body of the tabernacle stand up and walk, and we will understand what it is that we are seeing. The bones support the body. A body does not move real well without bones. The law is the bones of the body. Bones have no forgiveness, no mercy or grace. You sin, you die. Bones are linear. The tabernacle of Moses was the beginning, the linear pattern, the bones of our body. These bones were "dry" bones, lacking the Holy Spirit, bones laid bare.

*The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of BONES, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, THEY WERE VERY DRY. And he said unto me, Son of man, CAN THESE BONES LIVE? And I answered, O LORD GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O YE DRY BONES, HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD. Thus saith the LORD GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause BREATH to ENTER INTO you, and ye shall live: And I will lay SINEWS upon you, and I will bring up FLESH upon you, and COVER you with SKIN, and put BREATH in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a SHAKING, and the bones came TOGETHER, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the SINEWS and the FLESH came up upon them, and the SKIN COVERED them above: but there was no BREATH in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the WIND, prophesy, son of man, and say to the WIND, Thus saith the LORD GOD; Come from the four winds, O BREATH, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the BREATH came into them, and they lived, AND STOOD UP UPON THEIR FEET, an exceeding great army. Then he said unto me, Son of man, THESE BONES ARE THE WHOLE HOUSE [TABERNACLE] OF ISRAEL: behold, they say, Our bones are DRIED, and our HOPE is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the LORD GOD; Behold, O MY PEOPLE, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O MY PEOPLE, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put MY SPIRIT IN YOU, and ye shall live, and I shall PLACE you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have SPOKEN it, and PERFORMED it, saith the LORD. (Ezek 37:1-14)
