The depth of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our doctrine.

THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

(FOR SEPARATION AND THE RAPTURE)

(Mat 25:31-33) When the Son of man shall come in his glory [The Second Coming], and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory [i.e., the Millennium]: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate [G873] them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [G873] his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

(Mat 25:34-40) Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand [the sheep], Come [a present tense command, i.e., “Come” to Heaven, the Rapture], ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous [sheep] answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren [my family], ye have done it unto me.

(Mat 25:41-46) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand [the goats], Depart from me [a present tense command, the consequence of a righteous judgment], ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these [who these?], ye did it not to me. And these [goats] shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous [sheep] into life eternal.

  1. Commentary: Well, what do you suppose will happen next? Having been separated from the goats, will the enormous flock of righteous sheep (probable billions) just wander around for a while, or perhaps just stand still and stare at the enormous flock of goats (probable billions) across the way for some indefinite period of time? Nope. In obedience to the command to “Come, ye blessed” (Mat 25:34), the next thing to be secondarily initiated within the concert of His Second Coming is “The Rapture,” the ascension of the righteous to our Lord, the consequences of which action will thirdly initiate “The Millennium” wherein we shall rule and reign on this earth with Christ for a thousand years.

THE SAME SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

(TO COMMENCE THE MILLENNIUM)

(Rev 20:1-3) And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key [to lock] of the bottomless pit and a great chain [to bind] in his hand [Heb: power]. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years [6x = Rev 20:1-7], And cast him into the bottomless pit [Gk: depthless “abyss”], and shut him up [physically as to movement, and vocally as to speech], and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that [after “the thousand years”] he must be loosed a little season.

  1. (Jude 1:9) Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst [Gk: dared] not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

    1. Commentary: “an angel” (Rev 20:1) = the angel in this instance is Jesus Christ for He has overwhelming power against Satan, whereas the archangel Michael did not (Jude 1:9).

  2. (1 Thes 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first [i.e., be resurrected first]: (1 Thes 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them [the dead in Christ] in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    1. Commentary: the only other biblical instance that we may find the word “archangel” employed is in (1 Thes 4:16), and again it is there employed in association with the Lord Jesus Christ. These verses (1 Thes 4:13-18) are commonly accepted as an event description of “The Rapture,” but they may better be clarified and described as (firstly) the Lord’s clear “Second Coming” to these earthly environs, (secondly) to assemble His saints “The Rapture/First Resurrection,” and (thirdly) to commence “The Millennium” wherein we shall rule and reign with Christ as “kings and priests” (Rev 1:6; 5:10 & 20:6). This one great event sequentially encompasses three wonderful purposes.

(Rev 20:4-6) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them [“we shall judge angels” 1 Cor 6:3]: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for [preaching, teaching, sharing] the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned [kings] with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead [the unsaved] lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection [i.e., The Rapture]. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign [kings] with him a thousand years [i.e., as “kings and priests” Rev 1:6; 5:10 & 20:6].

(Rev 20:7-10) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city [Jerusalem]: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone [“everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” Mat 25:41], where the beast [Antichrist, a man and men and women - messengers of Satan)] and the false prophet [a man and men and women – messengers of Satan] are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

  1. (Rev 19:20) And the beast [Antichrist] was taken, and with him the false prophet [the news media] that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

(Rev 20:11-15) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever [men and women (angels - messengers)] was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire [“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD”].

Amen
