(Mat 13:18-23) Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one [the fowls, Satan, the fowls of the air, the devil], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places [stony ground, upon a rock], the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth [endures the seeds (words) of Jesus] for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended [“fall away” Luke 8:13]. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care [Gk: distractions] of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke [Gk: to strangle completely /// take by the throat] the word, and he becometh unfruitful [Gk: barren: without fruit]. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. ALL EVIL THOUGHTS Commentary: All evil thoughts originate from Lucifer-Satan. In The Parable of the Sower, stones and thorns represent fallen angel demonic thoughts sown in the field of our mind. Lucifer-Satan’s evil thoughts “enter in” to us (1) through our eye and ear gates in the form of messages (angels), both visual and audio. Stony ground “strong holds” (2), castles, or fortresses, figuratively arguments, represent thick compounds of closely related thoughts. Among the thorns initially represent individual stand-alone thoughts or thorns which become progressively more authoritative as they grow up into densely packed crowds (1a) through our attentive contemplation (mental) and evil works (physical), i.e., pornography, gambling, drug addiction. These densely packed crowds of thorns eventually become dominating strong holds, castles, or fortresses of evil thoughts (3), solidified and hard as stone. In this regard, one might well say that evil without works is dead, too (4). Lucifer-Satan, who is a fallen spirit, a fallen angel, is himself the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which generates mingled fruit, impure and defiled fruit, i.e., fallen angels (messages). He battles unceasing spiritual warfare through his evil army of the fruit of his tree of the knowledge of good and evil which contain his own seeds, his own thoughts; the fruit of this tree may be known as fallen angels, unclean spirits, devils, demons. Lucifer-Satan’s first and primary goal is to kill all born-again children of God, or, secondarily, if he is not allowed to do the first (5), to nullify and otherwise invalidate our gospel witness as good soldiers for Jesus Christ. After all, ineffective (useless) soldiers are almost as beneficial to Satan’s cause as are dead soldiers. 1. (Mark 4:18,19) And these are they [Words] which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares [Gk: distractions] of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in [to you], choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful [Gk: barren: without fruit]. a. choke = Gk: to strangle completely, i.e. (lit.) to drown, or (fig.) to crowd:--choke, throng /// to wheeze, i.e. to throttle or strangle (drown):--choke, take by the throat. 2. (2 Cor 10:4,5) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience [infers something alive that has the power of disobedience] of Christ; a. strong holds = Gk: (mean. to fortify); a castle (fig. argument):--stronghold. 3. (Eph 4:27) Neither give place to the devil. a. place = Gk: a spot (gen. in space, but limited by occupancy), i.e. location (as a position, home, tract, etc.); fig. condition, opportunity; spec. a scabbard:--coast, licence, place, quarter, + rock, room, where. b. (John 14:30) Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing [no place] in me. 4. (James 2:20) But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 5. (Job 2:4-6) And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he [Job] will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save [Heb: preserve] his life. Commentary: In The Parable of the Sower, stones and thorns represent both evil thoughts and fallen angels who are in fact one and the same, also called demons, unclean spirits, devils, that are hard, inflexible, unyielding, intractable, stubborn, obstinante, entirely resistant, and completely without hope of redemption. Stones may be further notably characterized by an absence of water, i.e., the Holy Spirit. Hard stones cannot be changed nor transformed (Rom 12:2) into soft flowers; they must be removed from the heart-mind in this life, or they will be melted away at the final judgment. Fallen angels will always be fallen angels; evil (bad) thoughts will always be evil (bad) thoughts. D-evil. The spiritual description of stony ground (many stones) residing in the field of your mind is likened unto fortified strong holds, castles, fortresses, which are structures (an argument is a structure pieced together by associated thoughts) built up and composed of many hard stones, or figuratively, well defined and defended arguments that “exalteth itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Cor 10:5). For example, pro-abortion supporters present a well defined and defended argument exalting themselves against the knowledge of God. Other godless strong holds, castles, fortresses of evil thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God are Feminism and Homosexuality. A single fortified strong hold may be most accurately viewed as a composite or company of alike hard thoughts (fallen angels, demons, unclean spirits, devils) unified under one thematic banner, in form and function exactly as a company of military soldiers, which indeed they are, organized for the specific purpose of warfare against God’s purpose and will. A spiritual company of alike evil thoughts composing a particular strong hold, castle, or fortress in your mind is depicted in the physical realm as a group of men and women who in mutual association are bound together by a belief system of thoughts held in common. This spiritual/physical company of evil fallen angel thoughts (spiritual) residing inside their host men (physical) may be singularly identified under a banner, such as Pro Abortion, which proudly waves over a unified strong hold, castle, or fortress wherein the thoughts (fallen angels, demons, unclean spirits, devils) within these human persons collectively agree and figuratively dwell. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
