THE DELIVERY:

FATHER GOD’S DESCRIPTION OF OUR SPIRITUAL CHILDBIRTH INTO HEAVEN

FROM HIS POINT-OF-VIEW:  #2

08-15-10

(Mat 24:29)  Immediately after the tribulation [after the fifth seal of great tribulation, sorrows (birth pangs): Rev 6:9-11; 7:13-17] of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven [alluding to the fallen angels; i.e., heavenly powers], and the powers of the heavens [plural = all encompassing, including earth: “such an one caught up to the third heaven.” 2 Cor 12:2] shall be shaken:

1.       (Eph 6:12)  For we wrestle [a type of shaking] not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

2.       (Rev 6:12,13)  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal [symbolized by the Feast of Atonement], and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth [biblical symbol of mourning] of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely [Gk: unripe] figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

3.       (Rev 12:4)  And his [Lucifer-Satan’s] tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child [Gk: man child] [Jesus Christ, who, in another sense, is us] as soon as it was born.

(Mat 24:30,31)  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven [definitely speculative, but most probably “the cross”]: and then shall all the tribes [Gk: races] of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1.       (1 Thes 4:16,17)  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

2.      Matthew Henry’s Commentary on the Whole Bible = Trumpets were to be sounded for the calling of assemblies (Num 10:2), in praising God (Psa 81:3), in offering sacrifices (Num 10:10), and in proclaiming the year of jubilee (Lev 25:9). Very fitly therefore shall there be the sound of a trumpet on the last day, when the general assembly shall be called, when the praise of God shall be gloriously celebrated, when sinners shall fall as sacrifices to divine justice, and when the saints shall enter upon their eternal jubilee [i.e., heaven].

THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS…

(Mat 24:32-36)  Now learn a parable of the fig tree [Rev 6:12,13]; When his branch is yet tender [young], and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh [meaning that delivery of the fruit is near, and/or that the summer sun is soon at its zenith and its hottest, i.e., has its most turbulent effects]: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

1.       (Psa 22:30,31)  A seed shall serve him [we are that seed]; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation [the Christ generation: Mat 1:16,17]. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

2.       (Mat 1:16,17)  And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus [the thirteenth generation from Babylon (count them)], who is called Christ [the fourteenth generation from Babylon (count them)]. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

3.       Commentary: Jesus was Jesus the son of Joseph until, at age 30, he was baptized with the anointing of the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the river Jordan; immediately then He became Jesus the Christ (Gk: anointed), commonly called Jesus Christ. We are the Christ generation, a single spiritual generation, begotten by Jesus, extending from Jesus the Christ commencing at age 30, and concluding with the advent of His Second Coming; a living composite spiritual body that encompasses all those imputed for righteousness, saved, born-again people, dead or alive, positionally now, experientially then.

THE TAKEN AND THE LEFT (WHICH IS US?)

(Mat 24:37-41)  But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark [and was taken up and up and eventually rested high “upon the mountains of Ararat” Gen 8:4], And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

2.       (Mat 24:27,28)  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is [Gk: a ruin, i.e. (spec.) lifeless body: dead body, corpse], there will the eagles be gathered together [Gk: sunago; assembled].

a.       (Mat 13:28-30)  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together [Gk: sullego; collect] first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather [Gk: sunago; assemble] the wheat into my barn.

3.       (Isa 40:31)  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

(Mat 24:42-44)  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

THE WISE SERVANT AND THE EVIL SERVANT

(Mat 24:45-51  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household [church], to give them meat [Gk: nourishment, food] in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites [Gk: an actor under an assumed character]: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
