GOD IS BUILDING UP THE TABERNACLE OF GOD

12-10-23 God is Thought. The brightness of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our doctrines, our building blocks, our Godly thoughts laid one upon another, ascending into the mind of Christ. Thought is a manifestation of “energy” (electricity analogy). These study notes are archived at tabernacleofmoses.org.

THIS PRETTY MUCH SAYS IT ALL

(Psa 127:1) A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house [the tabernacle (Heb: espec. the family)] [1], they labour in vain [2] that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain [2,3].

1.    (Rev 21:3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [Gk: a cloth tent] [covering his wooden walls] is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

a.     tabernacle (OT) = Heb: a residence (including a shepherd’s hut, the lair of animals [i.e., two opposite things, your choice], fig. the grave [of death], also the Temple [of life]): specif. the Tabernacle (properly its wooden walls): dwelling place, habitation, tent.

b.    tabernacle (NT) = Gk: a tent or cloth hut: habitation.

2.    Heb: “in vain” = desolating; evil (as destructive), literally (ruin) or morally; fig. idolatry, uselessness (as deceptive): false (-ly), lie, lying, vanity /// devastation.

3.    Commentary: The tabernacle of God (the archetype of Jesus Christ) is standing upright, a wooden (boards of men) (Psa 1:1-3) building with a tent covering (God), becoming (gradually manifesting as) the house of God.

EVERYONE (ALL THE EARTH) MURMURED AGAINST JESUS

(Luke 15:1,2) Then drew near unto him [unto Jesus Christ] all the publicans [Gk: (government) tax collectors] and sinners [Gk: to miss the mark (and so to not share in the prize), to err, espec. (morally) to sin: (to) offend (God)] for to hear him. And the Pharisees [Heb: separatists, exclusively religious] and scribes [Gk: a writer, secretary] [Dict.: a doctor of the Jewish law] [i.e., lawyers] murmured [Gk: to complain throughout the crowd /// grumbled], saying, This man [Jesus] receiveth [Gk: has interaction (with), (has) hospitality (toward): accepts, allows, looks for] sinners, and eateth [shares a meal, symbolically “shares God” through His presence. Rising above the physical meal, Jesus Christ shares a spiritual meal] with them.

THE FIRST FLOOR (THE GROUND), THE COURTYARD OF THE TABERNACLE OF GOD

(Luke 15:3-7) And he spake this parable [Gk: a similitude, (symbolically) a fictitious narrative of common life conveying a moral: a comparison] unto them, saying, What man of you, having an hundred sheep [having a complete flock], if he lose one of them [lose one rebellious (of its own will) sheep (sinner, angel)], doth not leave the ninety and nine [righteous sheep safe in a sheepfold (in a church)] in the [untamed, unsaved] wilderness, and go after that [sheep (sinner, angel)] which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it [saved it], he layeth it on his shoulders [Gk: the shoulder (as that on which burdens are borne)] [i.e., fully supporting, carrying, loving the found (saved) sheep (sinner, angel), and separating the sheep from contact with the defiling earth], rejoicing [Gk: to be full of “cheer,” calmly happy: joyful]. And when he cometh home [to “heaven” (verse 7)], he calleth together his friends and neighbours [angelic beings, plus], saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep [my sinner, my angel] which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner [sheep, angel] that repenteth [Gk: to think differently, reconsiders /// exercises the mind, comprehends, heeds: understands], more than over ninety and nine just persons [Gk: innocent, holy: righteous], which need no repentance [because these “persons” have already repented and are now holy redeemed men [1,2], i.e, restored holy angels [3].

1.    (Rev 19:10) And I [John] fell at his [the angel’s] feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

2.    (Rev 22:8,9) And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the [other] angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets [THE PROPHETS, i.e., MEN], and of them which keep the sayings of this book [Bible]: worship God.

3.    (Eccl 12:7) Then shall the dust return [Heb: turn back] to the earth as it was [Gen 2:7]: and the spirit shall return [Heb: turn back] unto God [(unto Heaven)] who gave it. [Are you a spirit? In commonly accepted but somewhat diluted extrabiblical tradition, “we have a spirit.” Then, what exactly are we?]

a.     (Psa 104:4) [God] Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

b.    (Heb 1:7) And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. [are you a minister, on fire for God? (gradations thereof)]

(Luke 15:8-10) Either what woman having ten pieces (having received the complete Ten Commandments) of silver [silver is the biblical metal that symbolizes being “imputed for righteousness” i.e., being saved (redeemed) in the Old Testament; silver symbolizes Jesus Christ] [1], if she lose one piece [literally, the piece of missing silver; spiritually, the unsaved rebellious past you], doth not light a candle [2], and sweep the house [sweep the body (house) of thoughts that she is (that you are) living in, clean], and seek diligently [Gk: carefully] till she find it? And when she hath found [saved] it [from being lost], she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece [of the original whole] [i.e., you are that piece] which I had lost [lost from where? Answer: lost from heaven]. Likewise [to the previous parable of a lost sheep], I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God [only joyful angels dwell in heaven] over one sinner [i.e., you] that repenteth [Gk: thinks differently, reconsiders] [i.e., that returns (happily) to heaven].

1.    (Exo 36:23,24) And he made boards [a symbol of redeemed men standing upright] [Psa 1:1-3] for the tabernacle [for the archetype of Jesus Christ]; twenty boards for the south side southward: And forty sockets [Heb: foundations] [i.e., shoes] of silver [the metal of redemption] he made under the twenty boards; two sockets [two shoes] under one board [under one redeemed man] for his two tenons [for the legs of his two feet], and two sockets [shoes] under another board for his two tenons [for his two legs, altogether like a lamp (cord) with his two prongs being plugged into an electric socket. What happens then?].

2.    (Psa 18:28) For thou wilt light [Heb: (make) luminous: kindle, set on fire, shine] my candle [Heb: to glisten; a burning lamp]: the LORD my God will enlighten [Heb: to glitter; illuminate] my darkness [Heb: the dark; fig. misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness].

THE SECOND FLOOR (ASCENDING), THE HOLY PLACE OF THE TABERNACLE OF GOD

(Luke 15:11-16) And he [Jesus Christ] said, A certain man [symbolically, Father God] had two sons [(creations) named Old Testament and New Testament]: And the younger of them [New Testament] said to his father, Father [God], give me the portion of goods [Gk: substance, property (possessions)] [i.e., spiritual “goods” (1 Cor 12:1-11) for “God is a Spirit” (John 4:24)] that falleth [as an inheritance would] to me. And he [Father God] divided unto them [unto both sons] his living [Gk: life; the means of livelihood]. And not many days after [i.e., “four hundred and thirty years” Exo 12:40,41 between the OT and NT] the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey [Gk: to visit a foreign land] into a far country [i.e., from heaven unto earth], and there wasted [Gk: dissipated, separated (from himself); specif. winnowed; fig. squandered] [i.e., foolishly ministered away] his substance [his spiritual gifts (1 Cor 12:1-11)] with riotous living [Gk: dissolute (living) /// unsavedness, profligacy: excess]. And when he had spent [Gk: wasted] all, there arose a mighty famine [of “hearing the words of the LORD”] in that land [1]; and he began to be in want [Gk: to fall short (be deficient): destitute, suffer need] [of the life-giving Word]. And he went and joined himself [Gk: (“glue”); to glue, to stick: cleaved, kept company] to a [unsaved] citizen [Gk: townsman] of that country; and he [the unsaved citizen] sent him [the younger son] into his fields to feed swine [2]. And he would fain [Gk: to set the heart upon, longed for: coveted, desired, lusted after] have filled his belly with the husks [empty seed-pods (i.e., riotous living)] that the swine did eat: and no man gave [Gk: ministered] unto him.

1.    (Amos 8:11) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

2.    (Deut 14:8) And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud [i.e., does not meditate (think) upon the Word of God], it is unclean [Heb: foul (in a religious sense): defiled, polluted] unto you: ye shall not eat [poisonous] of their flesh, nor touch [contagious] their dead carcase.

(Luke 15:17-24) And when he came to himself [came into “his right mind” Mark 5:15; Luke 8:35] he said, How many hired servants [Gk: wage earners] [doing their duty] of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned [Gk: to miss the mark (and so not share in the prize), erred, espec. morally: offended (God)] against heaven, and before thee, And am no more [Gk: no longer] worthy [Gk: deserving, suitable] [but he once was] to be called thy son: make me [(humble me), fashion me to be] as one of thy hired servants [doing his duty]. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and [his father] had compassion [Gk: to have the bowels yearn; fig. to feel sympathy, pity /// inward affection, tender mercy], and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him [1]. And the son said [(his confession)] unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more [Gk: no longer] worthy [Gk: deserving, suitable] to be called thy son [“no more worthy” is a twice repeated key phrase. Before this moment, when was he worthy? and where?]. But the father said to his servants [Gk: slaves: bondmen], Bring forth the best robe [“the robe of righteousness” Isa 61:10], and put it on him; and put a ring [the seal of authority (Gen 41:42)] on his hand, and shoes [i.e., the Bible] on his feet [2]: And bring hither the fatted [Gk: grain fed, fattened /// espec. wheat] calf [Gk: a young bullock] [i.e., the ultimate sacrifice; symbolically, Jesus Christ], and kill it [and sacrifice Jesus Christ as a testimonial; “the fatted calf” is mentioned 3x in the Bible (Luke 15:23,27,30)]; and let us eat [eat John 1:14], and [consequentially] be merry: For this my son was dead [to Me], and is alive again [i.e., born-again]; he was lost [as the “sheep” and as the “silver”], and is found. And they began to be merry.

1.    (James 4:8) [First you] Draw nigh to God, and [then] he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

2.    (Eph 6:14,15) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod [Gk: to bind under one’s feet, put on shoes or sandals: bind on] [i.e., describing your “walk”] with the [Lord in the shoes of the Old Testament and the New Testament, i.e, with the “two sons” in] preparation [for there is much more yet to come] of the gospel of peace;

HEAVEN

THE THIRD FLOOR (ASCENDING), THE MOST HOLY PLACE OF THE TABERNACLE OF GOD

(Luke 15:25-32) Now his elder son [the Old Testament son (creation)] was in the field [“The field is the world” Matt 13:38, i.e., he was in the open courtyard of the tabernacle (on the first floor)]: and as he came and drew nigh to the house [nigh to the tabernacle of God, specif. Psa 127:1], he heard musick and dancing [i.e., merriment: cheerfulness, happiness, gaiety, laughter, joy, inside the tabernacle of God]. And he called one of the servants [Gk: specif. a slave or servant (espec. a minister to a king)], and asked what these things meant. [???] And he [the servant] said unto him, Thy brother [(kinship), close affinity) the New Testament son] is come [Gk: arrived] [i.e., is returned from his “journey”]; and thy father hath killed [sacrificed] the fatted calf [Jesus Christ], because he hath received him [back] safe and sound [i.e., mission accomplished]. And he [the Old Testament son, (a hard legalist), justice] was angry [Gk: provoked, enraged, became exasperated], and would not go in [would not join, i.e., would not melt into New Testament joy]: therefore came his father out, and intreated [Gk: to call near, invited, invoked (by imploration)] him. And he answering said to his father, Lo [(imperative)], these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid [Gk: a goat] [i.e., the (New Testament) sacrifice of forgiveness], that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son [(denoting separation), your (New Testament) son] was come, which hath devoured thy living [Gk: the means of (spiritual) livelihood] [given him] with harlots [Gk: strumpets: idolaters: whores], thou hast killed for him the fatted calf [the sacrifice of forgiveness]. And he [Father God] said unto him [His Old Testament son], Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine [i.e., the sheep (the servants) will receive the land; the shepherds (priests, Levites) will receive no land, but they will be “supported” by the sheep, and receive more revelations of God]. It was meet [Gk: necessary (as binding): behoved, needful] that we should make merry [display joyful harmony], and be glad [Gk: be full of cheer: rejoice]: for this thy brother was dead [to Me], and is alive again [is born-again]; and was lost, and is found.
