POTENTIALLY, WE EACH ARE A WELL OF LIFE-GIVING WATER

11-22-20 This message may be viewed live streaming video at youtube.com and tabernacleofmoses.org today Sunday at 11:00 am, and repeated 24/7 thereafter. The video, audio, and study notes are archived.

God is Thought. Only Thought creates. Thought is the source of all power. We are the fruit of God’s thoughts. The brightness (glory) of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our doctrines, our building blocks, our Godly Thoughts laid one upon another, ascending into the mind of Christ. Angels are created as Spirits. Angels are Father God’s manifested naked thoughts (fig. seeds). Human bodies are manifested seed coverings (fig. seed pods) of God’s hidden seed-thoughts, thoughts that are deep planted to become metaphorically “a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14).

(John 4:1-5) When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. And he must needs go through Samaria [1]. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar [Heb: an intoxicant, intensely alcoholic liquor: strong drink, + drunkard], near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

1.    Nelson’s Illustrated Bible Dictionary: The Samaritans worshiped the God of Isreal. But they also continued their idolatry, worshiping the pagan gods imported from foreign lands.

JACOB’S WELL

(John 4:6-9) Now Jacob's well [1] was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied [Gk: to feel fatigue] with his journey, sat thus on the well [on the well’s lip, for it speaks to us]: and it was about the sixth hour [i.e., noon]. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

1.    Commentary: Acting as (natural) Jacob, this well was dug, symbolically, in his flesh through introspection. Had he then been acting in his supernatural (spiritual) persona as Isreal, his well would have been gushing forth revelations. Nevertheless, his well was deep, currently 75 feet and possibly twice that originally. How deep is your well? Or, do you even have a well?

a.     introspection = Dict: looking into one’s own mind, feelings, etc.; observation and analysis of oneself.

LIVING WATER

(John 4:10-15) Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest [Gk: were aware, considered, perceived, understood] the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink [i.e., return to me] [1]; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence [where, how] then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this [natural life-giving] water shall thirst again [this “life-giving” is mortal, temporary]: But whosoever drinketh of the [spiritual life-giving] water that I shall give him shall never thirst [this “life-giving” is immortal, forever]; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

1.    (Eccl 12:7) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was [Gen 2:7]: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

a.     (Gen 2:7) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

(John 7:37-39) In the last day, that great day of the feast [of “tabernacles” (plural: comp. “tabernacle”)], Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly [fig. for “mind” i.e., out of his thoughts] shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified [i.e., put to death and resurrected to God].)

THE CHRISTIAN MIND:

THE THOUGHTS OF GOD FLOWING FORTH

(Rev 22:1-3) And he [the man who was an angel (Rev 22:8,9)] [1,2] shewed me a pure [Gk: clean] river of water of life, clear as crystal [i.e., God’s Thoughts], proceeding [strong connotations of “order”] out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street [“the Way”] of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life [as the Body of Christ, with many members; symbolically, we are trees in the Bible], which bare twelve manner of fruits [3,4], and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves [Gk: sprouts /// an offshoot; a race or clan: kindred, tribe] of the tree were for the healing [of the great wound of the loss of Holiness] of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it [in the tree of life]; and his servants shall serve him:

1.    Commentary: See also another man-angel who appeared to John in Heaven (Rev 19:9,10).

2.    (Dan 9:21) Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel [Heb: man of God], whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. (Dan 9:24) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people…

a.     Commentary: the NKJV, NIV, AMPLIFIED, and NEW AMERICAN STANDARD Bibles agree with the KJV on this latter phrase.

3.    (Gal 5:22,23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness [Gk: humility], temperance [Gk: self-control]: against such there is no law. [9 fruits]

4.     (Eph 5:9) (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) [3 fruits]

(Rev 22:16,17) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit [of God] and the bride [that’s us, all believers] say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Amen
