God is Thought. The brightness
of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our
doctrines, our building blocks, our Godly Thoughts laid
one upon
another, ascending into the mind of Christ.
ALL UNDER SIN
(Gal
3:22-26) But the scripture [the Bible] hath concluded
all
under sin [i.e., eternal damnation], that the
promise [of
an eternal life of joy “bound in the bundle of life with the
LORD thy
God” (1 Sam 25:29) that is achieved] by faith [Gk:
belief]
of [in] Jesus Christ might be given to them that
believe.
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut
up unto
the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the
law was our
schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified
[Gk:
rendered innocent: made righteous] by faith. But
after that
faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For
ye are all
the children of God by faith [Gk: belief] in
Christ Jesus.
LEAD MY PEOPLE OUT OF EGYPT (UNSAVEDNESS)
(Exo
4:1-3) And Moses [then a shepherd in Midian] answered
[the
LORD] and said, But, behold, they will not believe me,
nor hearken
[Heb: to hear intelligently: listen] unto my voice:
for
they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. And the LORD said
unto
him, What is that in thine hand [Heb: power]? And
he said,
A rod [a short hard wooden stick (perhaps 3 to 4 feet)
for
fighting wolves and correcting sheep. Whose rod was it?]. And he
[the
LORD] said, Cast it on the ground [the first
command: Exercise
your power! “separate your self from it”] [1]. And he [obediently
(1x)] cast it on the ground, [and only then he saw it.
We don’t
see (understand) lots of subjective (inner-self) things until we
“objectify
them,” i.e., make them outer-self things in words or deeds] and
it
became a serpent [a symbol of evil, sin: the inner you,
“all
under sin” Gal 3:22]; and Moses fled from before it [when
he
saw it, Moses recognized the evil. How do we recognize sin? We
“talk it
out,” we expose it and look at it. We are taught in the Bible
by the
Holy Spirit what sin is] [2-4]
1.
(Heb
5:14) But strong
meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason
of use have
their senses [powers] exercised [Gk:
practiced,
trained] to discern [Gk: to separate thoroughly:
discriminate, judge] both good and evil.
2.
(John
1:14) And the
Word [of God, the Bible] was made flesh [in
Jesus Christ], and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth.
3.
(John
16:13-15) Howbeit [Gk:
Moreover] when he, the Spirit of truth [the Holy
Spirit],
is come [i.e., when you receive eternal salvation], he
will
guide [Gk: show the way, teach: lead] you into
all truth:
for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall
hear [the
Bible was an oral tradition 2,000 years ago], that
shall he
speak [expound, explain]: and he will shew you
[Gk:
announce: declare, tell] things to come [i.e.,
prophecy].
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it
[Gk:
announce: declare, tell] unto you. All things
[and thoughts]
that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he
shall
take of mine, and shall shew it [Gk: announce: declare,
tell]
unto you.
4.
(1
John 2:27) But the
anointing [a] which ye have received of him abideth
[Gk: dwells] in you, and ye need not that
any man teach
you: but as the same anointing [the Holy Spirit] teacheth
you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and
even as
it hath taught you, ye shall abide [Gk: dwell] in
him.
a.
anointing
= Gk: chrisma; an
unguent (Dict: a salve or ointment) or smearing, fig. the special
endowment
“chrism” of the Holy Spirit.
(Exo
4:4,5) And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand [the
second command: Exercise your power!], and take
[Heb: seize: hold, fasten, possess] it by the tail
[by its
basic power, i.e., control of what enables it to propel itself into
striking
distance]. And he [obediently (2x)] [1] put forth
his hand
[Heb: a hand], and caught it [Heb: bind,
restrain,
conquer], and it became a rod [of power, the Bible has
become a
rod of power in my hand] in his hand [Heb: kaph;
the
hollow or palm] [the cup of a sling, and in the cup the Word of God,
i.e., his
arm (power) now an instrument of miracles, a loaded weapon (a
shepherd’s rod)]
[2]: That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers,
the God
of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared
unto thee
[i.e., you have power over your sin and therefore you can do
miracles;
you are imputed for righteousness (i.e., saved, redeemed, restored)].
1.
(1
Sam 15:22) And Samuel
said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying
the voice of the LORD? Behold [pay attention], to
obey
is better than sacrifice, and to hearken [Heb: to
prick up
the ears: hear, give heed, regard] than the fat of rams.
2.
(Hos
12:3,4) He [Jacob]
took his brother [Esau] by the heel in the womb, and by his
strength
he had power with God: Yea, he [Jacob] had
power over
the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication [Heb:
prayer] unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he
spake with
us;
THE ROAD TO ETERNAL SALVATION
(Num
21:4-6) And they [the Israelites escaping from Egypt
(symbolically, the land of the unsaved)] journeyed from mount
Hor by the
way of the Red sea [Heb: a reed, especially the
papyrus] [a
symbol of the Bible], to compass [“to go around” Amplif.]
the
land of Edom [a symbol of the flesh]: and the soul
[Heb:
mind] [thoughts] of the people was much discouraged [Heb:
grieved, troubled, vexed] because [“of the
trials” Amplif.]
of the way [Heb: a road, fig. a course of life or mode
of action].
And the people spake against God, and against Moses,
Wherefore
have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness?
for
there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our
soul [Heb:
mind] [thoughts] loatheth [Heb: through the idea
of
severing oneself from; is disgusted: abhors, is vexed by] this
light
[Heb: insubstantial] bread [manna = “bread from
heaven”
Neh 9:15; “angels’ Food” Psa 78:25] [symbolically, the Word of God].
And
the LORD sent fiery [Heb: burning] [poisonous]
serpents [1] among the people, and they bit
the people;
and much people of Israel died.
1.
serpents
= Heb: snakes
/// to hiss, to whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate [Dict:
to foretell or predict, esp. from signs or indications]:
enchanters. [soothsayers,
false prophets, liers]
(Num
21:7-9) Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We
have
sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against
thee;
pray unto the LORD, that he take away the [ burning
poisonous] serpents
from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto
Moses, Make
thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole [1]: and
it
shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten [i.e.,
every
sinner], when he looketh upon it [as Moses
looked upon his
sin, and fled from it (he understood the danger)], shall live
[Heb:
revive: save (his) life]. And Moses made a serpent of brass
[Heb:
copper, a fetter; fig. base when compared with silver or gold: filthiness]
[sin is a type and shadow of the flesh of Jesus], and put it
upon a
pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man,
when
he beheld [Heb: looked on: considered, had respect for] the
serpent of brass, he lived [Heb: revived: saved
(his) life].
[2]
1.
Commentary:
“a pole”
= a short about 10 to 12 feet tall wooden pole without any branches,
similar to
a telephone pole (but not nearly as thick); however, because the
serpent was
made out of hard rigid brass, a crossmember was
added to
the pole to support the brass serpent, and we have thus an Old
Testament
example of the cross upon which the sin of the world was
hung.
2.
(John
3:13-15) And no man
hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the
Son
of man [Jesus Christ] which is in heaven. And as
Moses
lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [of unsavedness],
even
so must the Son of man be lifted up [on the pole] [in the wilderness
of unsavedness]: That whosoever believeth in him should
not
perish, but have eternal life.
Amen
