ANGELS ARE THOUGHTS OF GOD, SOLDIERS, MANIFESTED AS WORDS OF GOD, SENT TO CAPTURE EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST

(2 Cor 10:3-5) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty [Gk: powerful] [angels] through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity [Gk: a prisoner of war] every [disobedient] thought to the obedience of Christ

INCREASE OUR FAITH

(Luke 17:5,6) And the apostles [Gk: ambassadors of the Gospel: messengers] said unto the Lord, Increase our faith [Gk: belief]. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed [Gk: (to hurt, sting); the mustard plant], ye might say [words, all words (angels) have power; God’s words (angels) are “quick, and powerful” Heb 4:12] unto this sycamine tree [Gk: a sycamore or fig tree], Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you

HOW DOES JESUS CONVERT A LEPER, A SINNER SUCH AS YOU, INTO A SOLDIER?

“TOUCH”

(Matt 8:1-4) When he [Jesus] was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came [CAME TO HIM] a leper [1,2] and [“prostrating himself” Amplif.] worshipped him [Jesus], saying, Lord [Gk: supreme in authority], if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean [Gk: cleanse: purge, purify] [me] [WHO BELIEVED ON HIM]. And Jesus put forth [sent] his hand [Gk: fig. power], and touched [Gk: to attach oneself to] him, [How? Answer: by] saying, I will; be thou clean [i.e., a command]. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus saith [four more commands (continuing to exercise His power)] unto him [unto the cleansed leper, the soldier], See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift [Gk: sacrifice] that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them

1.    leprosy = Dict.: a chronic infectious disease caused by a bacterium that attacks the skin, flesh, nerves, etc.; it is chacterized by nodules, ulsers, white scaly scabs, deformities, and wasting of body parts, and is apparently communicated only after long and close contact.

2.    leper = Dict.: rough, scaly; to peel off, scales 1. a person having leprosy. 2. a person to be shunned or osrtracized, as because of the danger of moral contamination. [i.e., a person wearing this disease]

THE ANGELS, SOLDIERS OF GOD, ARE SENT FORTH

SPEAK

(Matt 8:5-13) And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum [a city located on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee], there came unto him [CAME TO HIM] a centurion [Gk: a Roman military captain of one hundred men], beseeching [pleading, begging: praying unto] him [Jesus], And saying, Lord [Gk: supreme in authority], my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy [Gk: paralyzed], grievously [Gk: terribly, excessively: vehemently] tormented [Gk: tortured: in pain, tossed, vexed] [WHO BELIEVED ON HIM]. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord [Gk: supreme in authority], I am not worthy [Gk: fit (in character): good (enough)] that thou shouldest come under my roof [under my hospitality, be subservient (submissive) to my command]: but speak [i.e., send] the word [Gk: logos] [(your angels, your servants, your soldiers, your words)] only, and my servant shall be healed. For I [“also” Amplif.] am a man under authority [“subject to authority” Amplif.], having soldiers under me [“subject to me” Amplif.] [thereby describing a hierarchy (syn: ladder, grading, pecking order, chain of command) of authority]: and I say [command] to this man, Go, and he goeth [obeys]; and to another, Come, and he cometh [obeys]; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it [obeys] [likewise, You command your servants who are Your angels, Your soldiers, Your words, and they obey]. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled [Gk: wondered; by implic. admired: have in admiration] [Jesus admired the faith of the centurion built upon correct understanding], and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith [Gk: belief (built upon correct understanding)], no, not in [all] Israel. And I say unto you, That many [spiritually matured adult saints] shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob [as Friends of God], in the kingdom of heaven [1]But the [unsaved] children [“son and heirs” Amplif.] of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth [2]. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed [i.e., understood correctly], so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed [Gk: made whole] in the selfsame hour [for the centurion had correctly “believed”]

1.    (James 2:23) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness [i.e., born-again]: and he was called the Friend of God

a.     (John 15:14,15) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you [thereby firmly establishing the hierarchy (rankings) of spiritual authority]. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth [is “working out” Amplif.]: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father [God] I have made known [Gk: subjectively, to know (within oneself): given (for you) to correctly understand] unto you

2.    Commentary: “But the children” = who have rejected their birthright as did Esau who “despised [Heb: disesteemed: disdained, (held) contemptible] his birthright” (Gen 25:34) and “for one morsel of meat sold his birthright” (Heb 12:16), i.e., Esau sold his heavenly inheritance for earthly things.

WHEN SENDING THE WORD (HIS ANGELS) TO EFFECT MARVELOUS CHANGE,

TOUCH” AND “SPEAK” ARE SYNONYMS

(Matt 8:14-17) And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he s aw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched [Gk: attached oneself to] her hand [i.e., became One with her body], and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. [TOUCH] [1] When the even was come, they brought unto him many [people] that were possessed with devils [Gk: exercised by demons]: and he cast out the [unclean] spirits [fallen angels] with his word [SPEAK] [by sending into the people His clean spirits, angels, servants, soldiers who overcame the devils], and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

1.    (Matt 9:20-22) And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched [CAME TO HIM] the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole [Gk: saved, delivered: healed]. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole [Gk: saved, delivered: healed]. And the woman was made whole [Gk: saved, delivered: healed] from that hour.

Commentary: when we touch a Bible, we are each holding great power in our hands, miraculous power; every Bible is more than twelve legions of angels (Matt 26:53 & Luke 8:11) sent by God to serve each of us. When and if we open the Bible [i.e., WHEN WE COME TO HIM, like Mary who “sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word” Luke 10:39] to hear” Him, we then learn of Him that we may understand why and how we are commanded to deploy His angels (Mark 16:15), while, in spiritual effect, being one ourselves, i.e., as was the centurion (a thought of God).
