GLOBAL THERMO-NUCLEAR WAR IS NOT A MATTER OF IF, BUT WHEN

(Isa 66:1,2)  Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne [Heb: covered, a throne (as canopied): seat], and the earth is my footstool: where is the house [Heb: temple] that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest [(we are that house/temple, individually and collectively)] [1]? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been [??], saith the LORD: but to this man will I look [favorably, and have regard for], even to him that is poor [Heb: humbled] [down-trodden] and of a contrite [Heb: smitten: lame] [broken, crushed] spirit, and trembleth [Heb: fearful, also reverential: afraid] at my word.

1.     (1 Cor 6:19)  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

(Isa 66:3-4)  [“The acts of the hypocrite’s worship (Dict: a pretender; Heb: soiled with sin, impious; Gk: an actor) are as abominable to God” Amplified Bible] He that killeth an ox [for sacrifice] is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation [Heb: donation, present], as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations [Heb: filthy (things)]. I also will choose their delusions [1], and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble [reverentially] at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

1.     (2 Thes 2:11,12)  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion [2x], that they should believe a lie [i.e., liars]: That they all might be damned [Gk: condemned, punished: judged] who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

***THE DAY OF THE LORD***

(Joel 2:1-5)  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion [i.e., the Feast of Trumpets, opening the Fifth Seal (Rev 6:9], and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants [Heb: dwellers: abiding, remaining] of the land tremble [Heb: quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger or fear): be afraid, shake]: for the day of the LORD cometh [to end the Great Tribulation, and commence the 1,000 year Millennium, the Sixth Seal (Rev 6:12)], for it is nigh at hand; [For the unsaved it shall be] A day of darkness [Heb: the dark; fig. misery, destruction, death: night] and of gloominess, a day of clouds [Heb: the nimbus or thunder cloud] and of thick darkness [Heb: gloom (as of a lowering sky)], [but for us who have been previously raptured up and are coming down (returning) from Heaven with the Lord at that time…, we are] as the morning [Heb: dawn (ing): light] spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong [Heb: powerful: mighty]; there hath not been ever the like [like the army of the resurrected Saints (Rev 20:6)], neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations [i.e., until the end of the 1,000 year Millennium]. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them [i.e., escape from the army of God]. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses [horses appear big and powerful]; and as horsemen [i.e., very powerful men], so shall they run. Like the [crackling] noise of chariots [,] on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong [Heb: powerful: mighty] [2x] people set in battle array.

(2 Pet 3:9-13)  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness [Gk: tardiness]; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish [Gk: be destroyed], but that all should come to repentance [Gk: to think differently: reconsider]. But the day of the Lord [1] will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat [Gk: set on fire], the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved [Gk: melted], what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation [Gk: behavior] and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved [Gk: melted], and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

1.     Commentary: global thermo-nuclear war; they (the unsaved) shall do it to themselves exactly as, in type and shadow, the Midianites (Heb: brawling, contentious, discord, strife) did it to themselves (Judg 7:22).

(Amos 5:16-20)  Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing. And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD. Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

(Zech 14:12-16)  And this shall be the plague [Heb: slaughter] [nuclear war] wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away [Heb: melt] while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away [Heb: melt] in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away [Heb: melt] in their mouth. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult [Heb: confusion, uproar: destruction] from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor [1]. And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. And so shall be the plague [nuclear war] of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague [nuclear war]. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left [during the Millennium] of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles [also called “the feast of ingathering” Exo 2:16; 34:22].

1.     (Judg 7:22)  And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.

(Zech 14:17-21)  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague [nuclear war], wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles [2x]. In that day shall there be upon the bells [Heb: tinkling] of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe [Heb: boil] therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite [Heb: a peddler, (a merchant who handled retail/wholesale mercantile caravans): merchant, trafficker] in the house of the LORD of hosts.
