JACOB’S DREAM

(Gen 28:12,13)  And he dreamed, and behold a ladder [Heb: a stair case] [step by step] set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said [i.e., “and said” through the angels (Heb: messengers), through the messages ascending and descending (the angels ARE the message)], I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

1.     (John 1:51)  And he [Jesus Christ] saith unto him [Nathanael], Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels [Gk: messengers] [i.e., messages] of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

A SCOLDING (CHASTISEMENT)

(Heb 5:12-14)  For when for the time ye ought to be teachers [Gk: instructors], ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles [Gk: fundamentals] of the oracles [Gk: the utterances] of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth [Gk: drinks] milk is unskilful [Gk: inexperienced, ignorant] in the word of righteousness [i.e., in the Bible]: for he is a babe [Gk: an infant, an immature Christian]. But strong meat [Gk: solid, stable: sure /// nourishment] [which requires the act of chewing (meditation) of the cud] belongeth to them that are of full age [1], even those who by reason of use have their senses [Gk: organs of perception] exercised [Gk: trained] [step by step] to discern [2] both good and evil [3].

1.     full age =  Gk complete (in labor, growth, mental and moral character): perfect.

2.     discern = Gk: judicial estimation /// to separate thoroughly; fig. to discriminate (decide): judge [between].

3.     Commentary: “to discern both good and evil”= as separate entities which Adam and Eve were unable to do and therefore were expelled/exorcised from the Garden of Eden (a type and shadow of Heaven) lest they eat of the tree of life and “live for ever” (Gen 3:22) eternally fixed in that undiscerning state and thus of no use to God.

a.      (Gen 3:22-24)  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as [“like” but not “same;” man is still lacking something] one of us, to know good and evil [but man does not understand the difference]: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out [Heb: cast out, thrust out] the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword [the logos/rhema Bible, (Heb 4:12; Eph 6:17) the sword of the Lord] which turned every way, to keep the way [Heb: road, path] of the tree of life.

THE MILK OF THE WORD

(The next verse after Heb 5:14 is Heb 6:1) (Heb 6:1-3)  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ [i.e., the “milk”], let us go on unto (7) perfection [Gk: the state of completeness] [“of full age,” maturity] [i.e., attained through “strong meat”]; not laying again the foundation [Gk: substructure] of (1) repentance from dead works, and of (2) faith toward God, Of the doctrine of (3) baptisms, and of (4) laying on of hands, and of (5) resurrection of the dead, and of (6) eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.

YET THEY WOULD NOT HEAR

(Isa 28:9-13) [QUESTIONS:] Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [ANSWER:] them that are weaned from the milk [ref. Heb: 5:12-14; 6:1-3], and drawn from the breasts. For precept [Heb: commandment] [(vertical, coming down from God to man)] must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line [Heb: a cord (as connecting)] [(horizontal, coming across from man to man)] upon line, line upon line [altogether forming a net]; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering [Gk: foreign] lips and another tongue [Heb: language] [1 Cor 12:10] will he speak to this people [i.e., the Tongue of the Lord is the Bible]. To whom he said, This [the truth of My Word the Bible] is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing [the truth of My Word the Bible]: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little [forming a net]; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

1.     (Mat 13:47:50)  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind [good and bad]: Which, when it was full [i.e., when all had heard the message], they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world [Gk: aion (this world)]: the angels shall come forth [“the glory… in us” Rom 8:18], and sever the wicked [Gk: hurtful, evil] from among the just [Gk: innocent, holy: righteous], And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing [Gk: weeping] and gnashing [Gk: grating /// in pain or rage] of teeth.

(Mat 13:18-23)  Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended [Gk: entrapped, tripped up, stumbles, enticed to sin] [“fall away” (Luke 8:13): Gk: revolt, desert: withdraw self]. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care [Gk: distractions] of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful [Gk: barren: without fruit]. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT (A PROGRESSING COMPILATION)

God is Love. The brightness of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our doctrines, our building blocks. God is Thought. We who are saved, redeemed, imputed for righteousness, born-again, are spiritually ascending and descending Jacob’s ladder (Gen 28:12; John 1:51) in meditation (inner thoughts) and prayer (manifested thoughts). Thoughts are Life (they move). Words are a product of God’s thoughts. God’s angels are His manifested Thoughts (His Words). God is Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God is the conglomerate of all His Angels (all His Holy Thoughts) who are created as Spirits (Psa 104:4; Heb 1:7). Angels are His manifested Spirit. God is the eternal Spirit from which all things that are the entire manifested universe was/is being created. All S(s)pirits originate as God’s Thoughts. You are a transitional part of God’s Spirit (Eccl 12:7); you will become either an eternal Heavenly Spirit, or an eternal fallen spirit. The Garden of Eden is a type and shadow of Heaven. All the trees in the Garden of Eden are fruit trees (Gen 1:11,12,29; 2:9,16,17) symbolizing Angels (Heb: messengers) whose fruit is God’s message (Gal 5:22,23; Eph 5:9 & Rev 22:2), the message of love. Men are fruit trees (Mat 7:15-20; 12:33; Luke 3:9). The S(s)pirits of men are A(a)ngels (Rev 19:9,10; 22:8,9).
