MARK’S GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
(1 Cor 12:10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy;
to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;
to another the interpretation of tongues:
THE TONGUE OF THE LORD TEACHING THE PARABLE TO THE MULTITUDE
(Mark 4:1-9) And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was
gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship,
and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his
doctrine, Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: And it came
to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the
air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground, where it
had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no
depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because
it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the
thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. nd other fell
on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and
brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. And he
said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
(Mark 4:10-12) And when he [Jesus] was alone [i.e., separated from the
multitude], they that were about him [i.e., His mother Mary, Mary
Magdalene, His four brothers, and his sisters, etc. (ref. Mark 6:3)]
with the twelve [disciples] asked of him the parable [Gk: similitude,
(symbolically) a fictitious narrative of common life conveying a
moral]. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery
[Gk: secret] of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without
[outside our circle], all these things are done in parables: That
seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and
not understand; lest at any time they should be converted [Gk: revert:
come again, turn about again] [i.e., return] [1], and their sins
[“their wilful rejection of the truth” Amplif.] should be forgiven
them.
1. (Eccl 12:7) Then [upon our death] shall the dust
return to the earth as it was [Gen 2:7]: and the spirit shall return
unto God [in Heaven] who gave it.
THE INTERPRETATION OF THE TONGUE OF THE LORD FOR BELIEVERS
(Mark 4:13-20) And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how
then will ye know all parables? The sower [Gk: to scatter, sow seed]
[i.e., the farmer: originally Jesus Christ, and now Jesus Christ in us]
soweth the word [“The seed is the word of God” Luke 8:11]. And these
are they by the way side [i.e., unsaved persons], where the word is
sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh
away the word that was sown in their hearts [Gk: (in their) minds]. And
these are they likewise [i.e., who will suffer the same fate as those
“by the way side”] which are sown on stony ground [i.e., unsaved
persons]; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it
with gladness; And have no root in themselves [1], and so endure but
for a time: afterward, when affliction [Gk: pressure: tribulation,
trouble] or persecution ariseth for the word's sake [i.e., because of
their profession of the Bible (Jesus Christ, John1:14)], immediately
they are offended [“become displeased, indignant, resentful, and they
stumble and fall away” Amplif.]. And these are they which are sown
among thorns [i.e., saved servants wherein some seed has taken “root”];
such as hear the word, And the cares [Gk: distractions] of this world
[Gk: aion], and the deceitfulness [Gk: delusions] of riches, and the
lusts [Gk: longing (espec. for that which is forbidden): desire /// to
set the heart upon] of other things entering in [unlawfully, criminally
piercing, like a thorn], choke [Gk: to strangle completely ///
throttle: take by the throat] [Lucifer-Satan the exile (symbolically:
Goliath who is a criminal] the word [from being uttered, i.e., sown,
scattered], and it becometh [changes from being fruitful into being]
unfruitful [Gk: barren: without fruit] [“and bring no fruit to
perfection (Gk: to be a bearer to completion, to maturity, to be
ripened)]. And these are they which are sown on good ground [i.e.,
saved friends]; such as hear the word, and receive it [“accept and
welcome it” Amplif.], and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some
sixty, and some an hundred [fold, i.e., times the single seed which was
sown].
1. (Rev 22:16) I Jesus have sent mine angel
[messenger] to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the
root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
SAVED SERVANTS AND FRIENDS OF THE LORD GOD,
THE PATH TO HEAVEN IS A PROGRESSION
(John 15:15) Henceforth I call you not servants [saved but “among
thorns”]; for the servant knoweth [Gk: understands] not what his lord
doeth: but I have called you friends [saved “on good ground”]; for all
things that I have heard of my Father I have made known [Gk:
understood] unto you.
