THE PROPHECY OF JESUS CHRIST

(Matt 24:1-3) And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple [i.e., synagogue, church, (the body of believers)] [1]: and his disciples [Gk: learners: pupils (students)] came to him for to shew him the [grand, beautifully ornate] buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone [men are symbolized by stones (hard hearted), built upon; reliant upon, influenced by, dependent] upon another [stone (person), rather than being dependent upon God] [2], that shall not be thrown down [Gk: demolished: (be) destroyed, dissolved] [3]. And as he sat upon [(reigning), upon the throne of] the mount of Olives [in a regal display of symbolic kingship; the olives symbolize believers (us) destined to be crushed and thoroughly squeezed (by tribulation) for an outpouring of precious olive oil which is/are the Thoughts of God returning into God’s Holy Spirit], the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign [Gk: indicator: miracle, wonder] of thy coming, and of the end of the world [Gk: aion; this age (this world)]

1.    (1 Cor 3:16,17) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile [Gk: spoil, ruin, fig. by moral influences, to deprave] the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are

2.    (1 Pet 5:6,7) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you [Gk: elevate: lift up] [build you up] in due time: Casting all your care [Gk: distractions] [from God] upon him; for he careth [Gk: (is) concerned] for you

3.    (Psa 127:1) A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain

THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS

(THE FIRST THREE SEALS OF THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE)

(Matt 24:4-8) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed [beware, be warned] that no man deceive you [Gk: cause you to roam (from safety, truth, or virtue): go astray, seduce, wander /// delusion, error]. For many [false prophets] shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ [Gk: anointed]; and shall deceive many [the first seal (Rev 6:1,2)] [1]. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars [the second seal (Rev 6:3,4)] [2]: see that ye be not troubled [Gk: (to wail); clamor, be frightened]: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences [e.g., COVID 19], and earthquakes, in divers [many] places [the third seal (Rev 6:5,6)] [3]All these are the beginning of sorrows [Gk: pangs or throes, espec. childbirth: pain, travail]

1.    (Rev 6:1,2) And I saw when the Lamb [of God, Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:14)] opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder [God-speak in Heaven], one of the four beasts [11x; i.e., four speaking aliens (Rev 4:6-11) who are not of this world, but are highly intimate with God, perhaps they are the “king-priests” (Rev 1:6; 5:10) of four different worlds, or solar systems, or galaxies] saying, Come and see [a command]. And I saw, and behold a white horse [that appeared (seemed) to represent the great power of truth and innocence, but in reality symbolizes the great power of “strong delusion” (2 Thes 2:11), i.e., a plethora of lies]: and he [the rider] that sat on him [that controlled the great power of the horse of  “strong delusion” by the reins in the horse’s mouth] had a bow [versus “a sharp sword” (Rev 19:15)]; and a crown [versus “many crowns” (Rev 19:12)] was given unto him: and he went forth conquering [Gk: subduing: overcoming, getting the victory], and to conquer [on into the future]

2.    (Rev 6:3,4) And when he [Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:14)] had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see [a command]. And there went out another horse that was red [the color of blood]: and power was given to him that sat thereon [that controlled the horse] to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another [“and the LORD set every man’s sword against his fellow” (Judg 7:22), exactly like the LORD did to the 135,000 invading unsaved Midianites (Heb: brawling, contentious, discord, strife)]: and there was given unto him [the rider] a great sword [of war]

3.    (Rev 6:5,6) And when he [Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:14)] had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see [a command]. And I beheld, and lo a black horse [the skin color of starvation]; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances [Gk: a coupling, yoke; fig. servitude: a beam (as connecting the scales)] in his hand [Gk: power] [of manipulation]. And I heard a voice [the false news media: radio, television, internet] in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat [good edible grain] for a penny [a day’s wages], and three measures of barley [grain of much lesser quality, used as food for livestock] for a penny [a day’s wages]; and see thou hurt not [harm not] the oil and the wine [i.e., take not of the best food reserved for the rulers]

4.    Commentary: all seven seals are cumulative and progressive, like the layers of a pearl (Matt 13:45,46).

THE FOURTH SEAL OF GREAT TRIBULATION

(Matt 24:9-14) Then [suffering under the pangs of childbirth] [1] shall they deliver you up to be afflicted [Gk: pressure: anguish, burden, persecution, tribulation], and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated [Gk: detested: loved less] of all nations for my name's sake [for Jesus Christ]. And then shall many be offended [Gk: ensnared, tripped up, stumble, enticed to sin], and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets [like the fake (false) news media (lying propaganda)] shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity [Gk: violation of the law, wickedness: unrighteousness] shall abound, the love of many [pseudo-Christians] shall wax [become] cold[2] But he that shall endure [Gk: bear trials, persevere: take patiently, suffer] unto the end, the same shall be saved [Gk: (“safe”); delivered or protected: healed, made whole]. And this gospel [good news] of the kingdom [of God] shall be preached in all the world [via the Internet] for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come

1.    Commentary: “Then” = when the accumulatingsorrows” of the first three seals (tribulations) become fully active, which circumstance may be witnessed as a dramatic increase in frequency and intensity (as in childbirth), and the world will be in the disasterous throes of maximized confusion (chaos versus order).

2.    (Rev 6:7,8) And when he [Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:14)] had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast [Gk: zoon; a live thing, an animal] say, Come and see [a command]. And I looked, and behold a pale [Gk: greenish] horse [perhaps prophesying the ending-of-time doctrine of “The Green New Deal”]: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him [a]. And power was given unto them [the antichrists] over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts [Gk: therion; a dangerous animal: venomous, wild] of the earth [the latter phrase is specifying earthly creatures rather than the four other-worldly creatures]

a.     Commentary: except, at this time, we will no longer be here because no believing Christian will ever go to Hell; the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ paid the price of redemption for us all, saved and unsaved alike. Therefore, the evil victory of this passage does not pertain to us who “believe” for we shall have been previously “raptured” out. J
