NEVERTHELESS,
YOU HAVE
TO DO SOMETHING TO SAVE YOUR
SOUL
(James
1:21,22)
Wherefore lay apart [repent, reconsider, change
(“renew”
Rom 12:2) your mind, separate yourself from] all filthiness and
superfluity [Gk: superbundance] of naughtiness [Gk:
depravity, malignity: evil, wickedness], and receive with
meekness [Gk:
humility] the engrafted [Gk: implanted] [seeded]
word [of
God inside you], which is able
to save your souls. But be
ye doers of the
word [Gk: logos] [via logic], and not hearers only,
deceiving [Gk:
misreckoning, deluding: beguiling] your
own
selves.
EARTH
AND WATER = GOD IS IN YOUR BODY
(Gen
2:7) And
the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground [Heb:
earth],
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life [a
part of
Himself, the Holy Spirit]; and man became a living
soul. [according
to Wikipedia, man is 60% water]
A
TREASURE IS HIDDEN IN THE EARTH (IN YOUR
BODY)
BUT
YOU HAVE TO DIG DOWN TO GET IT
(Matt
13:44) Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure
hid [Gk: concealed: kept secret] in a field [“The
field is the world (Gk: cosmos, universe)” Matt 13:38]; the
which when a
man hath found [Gk: get, obtain, perceive, see] [the
first revelation
of Jesus Christ (our salvation)], he hideth [“hid
again”
the Amplified Bible] [guards, protects], and for joy [Gk:
cheerfulness, calm delight: gladness] thereof goeth and selleth
[Gk: trades] all that he hath [ultimately, he
trades his entire
lifestyle, his manner of thinking, he trades his thoughts for God’s
Thoughts],
and buyeth [Gk: purchases; (specifically) redeems]
[syn:
converts, buys back; saves, rescues] that field [cosmos,
universe] [i.e., he ministers to every “creature” in all the universe].
1.
(Heb
11:24-26) By faith [Gk:
belief] Moses [Heb:
drawing out
(of the water): rescued] [ref: Gen 1:1-3; Matt 13:45,46], when
he was
come to years [“grown to maturity” Amplif.], refused
to be
called the son of Pharaoh's daughter [and the inheritor
of Pharaoh’skingdom]; Choosing
rather to suffer affliction
[Gk:
endure persecution together] [“suffer the hardships” Amplif.] with the people of God, [rather]
than
to enjoy [“have the fleeting enjoyment” Amplif.]
[of]
the pleasures [Gk: uncircumcisions] of sin for
a season
[i.e., for a temporary time]; Esteeming [Gk:
considering: thinking] the reproach [Gk: defamation,
railing,
taunting: reviling, upbraiding] [received from
unbelievers] of
[for believing in the Eternal] Christ [Gk: the
anointing]
[of God to be] greater riches than the treasures [the
many enticing
worldly things (wine, women, and song)] in Egypt:
for he had respect [Gk: to intently regard, to look
away
from everything else] [i.e., distractions] unto the
recompence [payment]
of the reward.
2.
(Mark
16:15) And he [Jesus]
said unto them [His disciples (students)], Go ye into all the world [Gk:
“cosmos”
(universe)], and preach the gospel [of
love] to every creature [Gk: formation: creation] [to
every living
entity in the cosmos; human beings are a subset of “every creature”].
THE
PEARL OF GREAT PRICE IS HIDDEN IN THE WATER (IN
YOUR
BODY)
BUT
YOU HAVE TO DIVE DOWN TO GET IT
(Matt
13:45,46)
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man
[Gk: a (wholesale) tradesman] [potentially, every one of us is
“a
merchant man,” i.e., a frequent diver], seeking goodly
[natural] pearls [a businessman, in the business
of
seeking the most personally profitable way of living out this
life]: Who,
when he had found one pearl of great price [a spiritual
pearl,
i.e., eternal salvation], went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
1.
Commentary:
“one pearl” =
that is totally unlike all the other “pearls” (items of
personal
benefit) that may be found in this natural life.
A pearl
of great value
requiring great sacrifice and having “great price” to acquire;
however, this
pearl is the absolute best, by far the most immeasurably valuable, the most profitable way for
God and for you,
as a servant (instrument) of God, of living out this life.
a.
Commentary:
salvation = A foreign object as
small “as a grain
of mustard seed” (i.e., the Bible) is sown (inserted) as
an
irritant into the soft tissue of a living mollusk (shellfish,
clam).
The shellfish (shelled fish) reacts to the foreign insertion by
completely
enclosing, surrounding and separating the unnatural
irritant from its natural self with layer upon layer
(revelation
upon revelation) of a substance (the Holy Spirit) physically called nacre
that has a bit of luster (shine) herein symbolic of Godly thoughts.
2.
(John
4:5-10) Then cometh he to
a city of Samaria [a mixed
race of
unsaved people believing an altered (changed) version
of the
first 5 books of the Bible (the OT Pentateuch)], which is called Sychar [Heb:
intoxicant, intensely
alcoholic], near to the parcel of ground that Jacob [Heb:
heel-catcher (supplanter)] gave [Gk: committed]
to his son
Joseph. Now Jacob's well [Gk: fountain, source or supply of
water]
was there. Jesus therefore, being
wearied
[Gk: to feel fatigue] with his journey, sat thus on
the well
[throne; lip]: and it was about the sixth hour [about
high
noon]. There cometh a woman of
Samaria
to draw [up] water [for her “flock”]:
Jesus saith
unto her, Give
[minister
(sacrificial love) to] me to drink
[that I may consume (receive) your love]. (For his
disciples [who
normally would have ministered that love to Him] were gone away [from
Jesus] unto the city to buy meat [Gk:
nourishment: food].) [to
buy temporary provisions for themselves] Then
saith the
woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink [(sacrifice)] of
me,
which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with
the
Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If
thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith
to thee, Give me to drink;
thou wouldest have asked of him,
and he would have given thee living water
[i.e., given eternal provision for the woman].
3.
(John
7:37-39) In the last day, that
great day of the feast [of
Tabernacles, “the feast of ingathering at year’s end” Exo 34:22],
Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst
[be in need], let him
come unto
me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the
scripture
hath said, out of his belly [Gk: (fig.) heart] [i.e., out of the
well
in his heart] shall flow rivers
of living
water. (But this spake he of the [Holy] Spirit,
which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy
Ghost
was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
(Matt
13:51,52)
Jesus saith unto them, have
ye understood [1] all these
things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. Then said he unto
them,
Therefore every scribe [a lay or ordained minister
(servant)]
which is instructed [Gk: a pupil; a disciple, enrolled
as a
scholar] unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a
man that
is an householder [Gk: the
head of a
family, master of the house], which bringeth forth [which
issues
forth revelations from his (spiritual) pregnancy] out of his [heretofore
hidden (in himself)] treasure [of God’s Thoughts, i.e., God’s
sown seeds
growing (expanding) into maturity: Luke 8:11] things
[God’s Thoughts (Seeds) becoming revelations] new and old.
1.
understood
= Gk: to put together,
comprehend; to act piously: consider, be wise /// complete
union.
Amen
