The brightness of our
revelations depend upon the correctness of our doctrines (our building blocks)
(Isa 3:1-4) For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth
take away [Heb: pluck away]
[little by little, but soon, all at once] from Jerusalem [the sheep] and from Judah [the shepherds] the stay
[the rod] and the staff [the
staff], the whole stay of bread [symbol of Jesus Christ], and the whole stay of water [symbol of the Holy Spirit], The mighty man, and the man of war, the
judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, The captain of fifty,
and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the
eloquent orator. And I will give children to be their princes
[Heb: head persons], and babes
shall rule over them.
1. stay = Heb: H4937; a support: protector or sustenance. [masculine]
2. staff = Heb: H4938; feminine
of H4937; support: sustenance or a
walking stick: staff. [feminine]
3. (1 Thes 4:13-18) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which
are asleep [Gk: dead], that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus
died and rose again, even so them also which sleep [Gk: are dead] in Jesus will God bring with him. For
this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [Gk: precede] them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ
shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up [Gk: seized: plucked up] together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
4. babes
= Heb: caprice (as a fit coming on), vexation, tyrant: delusion.
a. (2 Thes 2:8-12) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the
spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all
deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be
saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they
all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness.
(Isa
3:5-8) And the people shall be oppressed [Heb: a debtor; harassed: raised taxes, taskmaster], every one by another, and every
one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against
the ancient, and the base [low
esteem] against the
honourable [high esteem]. When a man shall take hold of his brother
of the house of his father, saying,
Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be
under thy hand: In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer;
for in my house is neither
bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. For
(Isa
3:9-11) The shew of their countenance [the
appearance of what they do] doth
witness against them; and they declare their sin as
(Isa
3:12,13) As for my people, children
are their oppressors, and
women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of
thy paths. The LORD standeth up
[(an action word)] to plead [Heb: content, rebuke], and
standeth to judge the people.
NEVERTHELESS, LET YOUR MIND
BE RENEWED
(Rom 12:1,2) I beseech
you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service. And be not
conformed to [the same pattern of] this world: but be ye transformed
[Gk: “metamorphosed” changed,
transfigured] by the renewing
[Gk: renovation] [re-structuring,
re-building, restoring] of your
mind, that ye may prove what is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
THE “RENEWED” MIND IS…
(Psa 23:1-6) A Psalm
of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He
restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his
name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table
before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my
cup runneth over [with blessings].
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
for ever.
IN LOVE WITH HAPPINESS AND
JOY
Amen
