SEED EQUALS WORD

(Luke 8:11-15)  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

1.       Commentary: If the seed that is sown (planted) is the Word of God, what then is the fruit that is generated by that sown seed? Answer: the fruit is the Word of God. In its biblical application, seed equals word, and fruit (having many seeds) equals words.

THE TREE FROM WHICH THE FRUIT (WORDS) ARE BROUGHT FORTH

(Mark 8:22-25)  And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes [with the water (saliva) of the Holy Spirit], and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up [with spiritual eyes], and said, I see men as trees, walking [Yes, but what KIND of tree?]. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored [to his natural eyes], and saw every man clearly.

TWO KINDS OF TREES

(Gen 2:9)  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life [i.e. pure (unmixed) perfect fruit] also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil [i.e. mingled fruit, evil perverts good (Syn: distorts, misrepresents, depraves, alters, changes, leads astray, spoils) - prime example: Lucifer Satan].

1.       (2 Cor 6:14-18)  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2.   (Eph 5:8-11)  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit [words] of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

(Gen 3:22)  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

(Mark 16:15)  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world [kosmos; universe], and preach the gospel [i.e. sow the seed of the Word of God that it may bring forth the Fruit of God] to every creature.

Amen
