(Rev 6:1-8) And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse [of "strong delusion" 2 Thess 2:11]: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red [of war]: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse [of famine]; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse [Gk: greenish]: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

(Mat 13:33)  Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven [false doctrine], which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal [ground up seed, the Word of God: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost], till the whole was leavened.

THE RIVER OF LIFE…

(Jer 2:13)  For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns [useless for storing water and useless for sustaining life], that can hold no water.

1.       Life Application Bible: Who would set aside a sparkling fresh spring of water for a cistern, a pit that collected rain water? God told the Israelites that was what they were doing when they turned from Him, the Fountain of Life-Giving Water, to idols. Not only that, the cisterns they chose [made with their own hands] were broken and empty. The people had built religious cisterns to store truth in, but they were worthless. Why should we cling to the broken promises of unstable “cisterns” (money, power, religious systems, or whatever transient thing we are putting in place of God), when God promises to constantly refresh us with Himself, the Life-Giving Water.

(Zec 13:1,2)  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit [demons, devils, specifically Satan] to pass out of the land.

(John 4:13,14)  Jesus answered and said unto her [the woman at the well], Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst [because He constantly refreshes believers]; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

(John 7:37-39)  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

…AND THE TREE OF LIFE

(Ezek 47:12)  And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat [food], whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

1.       (Psa 1:1-3)  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

(Rev 22:1-5)  And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

(Mal 3:8)  Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Amen
