(Luke 8:11) Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. (Mat 13:36-39) Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples [learners, pupils (students)] came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed [the Word of God] is the Son of man [i.e. we are all sowers in Christ Jesus]; The field is the world [Gk: kosmos; cosmos, universe (into which the Word of God shall be sown)]; the good seed [the wheat seeds] are the children of the kingdom [i.e. your resurrected body is a seed purposed to be sown into the universe]; but the tares [the weeds; poisonous darnel seeds, i.e. the evil seeds] are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest [i.e. the separation of the good seed from the evil seed] is the end of the world [Gk: aion; this world]; and the reapers are the angels. THE GOOD SEED (John 12:24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except [unless] a corn [Gk: a kernel of seed] of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit [each fruit contains many seeds]. 1. kernel = Dict: 1. the softer, usually edible, part contained in the shell of a nut or the stone of a fruit. 2. the body of a seed within its husk or integuments (skin, shell, rind, or the like). 3. a grain, as of wheat. 4. the central part of anything; the nucleus; the core. 2. Commentary: In the Garden of Eden, Jesus Christ is “the tree of life” (Gen 2:9) which has as its foundation the root of “love.” Father “God is love” (1 John 4:8,16). If the root of the tree of life be love, what then must the fruit be? All the trees in the Garden of Eden were “fruit” trees (Gen 1:29; 2:9); fruit trees sow seeds, “after his kind” (Gen 1:11). The good seeds are men and women who have been chosen by God from the foundation of the world to be living vessels properly prepared to carry the Word of God (love) inside the seed container of their new resurrected bodies “into all the world [cosmos, universe]” (Mark 16:15). THE TARES (THE EVIL SEED) (Isa 14:12-15) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken [to prostrate; by impl. to overthrow, decay:--discomfit, waste away] the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 1. Commentary: In the Garden of Eden, Lucifer-Satan is “the tree of knowledge of good [Lucifer] and evil [Satan]” (Gen 2:9) which has as its foundation the “root of bitterness” (Heb 12:15). If the root of the tree of knowledge of good and evil be bitterness, what then must the fruit be? Is that not the opposite of love? All the trees in the Garden of Eden were “fruit” trees (Gen 1:29); fruit trees sow seeds, “after his kind” (Gen 1:11). 2. Every human baby is born with Lucifer-Satan’s root of bitterness and consequent rebellion (sin) against God’s authority firmly rooted inside their bodies from birth. That is our inheritance from Eve, “the mother of all living” (Gen 3:20) who symbolizes defiled authority, and consequent rebellion (sin) against God. Lucifer was at one time a chief angel in authority over angels, but he indulged himself in self-idolatry and sought to elevate himself in authority above more of God’s creations, and even to become “like the most High.” Lucifer wanted to be like God (equal with God), his creator. In this vain pursuit, Lucifer was completely frustrated, became bitter, and consequentially rebelled (sinned) against God’s restraining authority. The entity Lucifer-Satan thereby became the archetype of defiled authority and consequent rebellion (sin) against God in the Bible. Woman-Eve (good-evil), is a type and shadow of Lucifer-Satan (good-evil). She conformed to Lucifer-Satan’s self-indulgent pattern of self-idolatry by seeking to elevate herself against God’s authority and to “be like the most High.” a. (Gen 3:5,6) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as [like] gods [ye shall “be like the most High” Isa 14:15], knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise [“I will be like the most High” Isa 14:15], she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 3. Commentary: That mankind inherited the “root of bitterness” was again testified to in the name of Mary (Heb: rebellious /// bitterness) the mother of Jesus. Please note in the previous Hebrew translation for “Mary” that the word “rebellious” is derived from “bitterness.” However, Mary was also a dramatic picture of the first ever “born again” human. Previous to becoming born again, Mary represented all mankind (natural). After Mary became born again, she represents only the “born again” (spiritual) segment of humanity. Further, Mary as a type and shadow of her archetype Woman-Eve, is also “the mother of all living” in another wonderfully regenerated eternal sense. 4. Commentary: Throughout our lifetime, the evil root of bitterness and consequent rebellion grows inside us (becomes bigger and stronger) and matures (hardens) into “the tree of knowledge of good [Lucifer] and evil [Satan]” (Gen 2:9). This wicked evolution is illustrated by the statistical fact that most people become “born again” before their 18th birthday, or they do not. The tree of knowledge of good and evil, with its foundational root of bitterness, bears mingled fruit. That is why believers (good seed) are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (evil seed) in marriage (mingling: “be one flesh” Gen 2:24). What God hath unmingled, let no man mingle. The mingled fruit that Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil was most certainly poisonous, i.e. injurious to her health, for it caused her to be separated from God, and it is that separation that caused her to die. 5. Commentary: This planet earth is God’s Garden of Eden in the universe. Humanity is now on the threshold of possessing the technological capability that will enable us to colonize the universe. Satan wants mankind to sow mingled fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil “into all the world [cosmos, universe],” i.e. Satan wants us to sow death into the universe. Will God allow that to happen? Will God allow His Garden the planet earth to contaminate the universe? God forbid! That is why this earth shall be totally consumed with flaming fire, and that is why the saints of God are being transformed into “a flaming sword” (Gen 3:24), the “twoedged sword” of the Lord (Heb 4:12 logos; Eph 6:17 rhema), the Word of God (Jer 23:29). Our God is a consuming fire (Deut 4:24; 9:3; Heb 12:29), and fire does not burn fire. a. (2 Pet 3:10-13) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation [life-style] and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 6. God wants His saints to sow good fruit from the tree of life “into all the world [cosmos, universe],” i.e. God wants us to sow life into the universe, and our God reigns! Praise God! Humanity now stands in the doorway of the universe, and is about to advance outward and commence sowing the seed of God’s glorious Word into all the universe. But first, the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is appointed and almost upon us at this very moment; and when He shall suddenly appear, He shall come in great power and glory, for the purpose of cleansing His Garden, with fire.
