THE ENCOMPASSING HEDGE

(Job 1:9,10)  Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job [hated (i.e. persecuted)] fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

            1. hedge = Heb: to entwine, i.e. shut in (for formation, protection or restraint):--fence.

THE SEED IS SOWN

(Gen 2:7-9)  And the LORD God formed man of the dust [clay] of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the LORD God planted [to strike in, i.e. fix; spec. to plant (seeded – His Seed)] a garden eastward in Eden [pleasure: delight]; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree [where do trees come from?] that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. [i.e. good (godly) food grows in the garden (of the Bible)]

1.       garden = Heb: a garden (as fenced) /// to hedge about, i.e. (gen.) protect; defend.

2.       (Mat 13:38)  The field [farm] is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares [darnel or false grain] are the children of the wicked one;

GOD’S GARDEN IS GROWING - INCREASING

(1 Chr 4:9,10)  And Jabez was more honourable [heavy: glory, glorify, (very) great, glorious, honourable] than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez [to grieve; sorrowful: “a man of sorrows” Isa 53:3], saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge [increase] my coast [the territory enclosed: border, bound, space], and that thine hand [power] might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil [i.e. doing evil to others (restrain me)], that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

1.       (Mat 13:31,32)  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven [i.e. the garden of Eden] is like to a grain [a kernal of seed] of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field [farm – the world]: Which indeed is the least [smallest] of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs [vegetables], and becometh a tree [is “transformed” Rom 12:2], so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

2.       the garden of Eden (delight) = area unknown /// THE FALL FROM EDEN /// the tabernacle of Moses = 10x10x10 cubits; the temple of Solomon = 20x20x20 cubits; the holy Jerusalem of God = 12,000 x 12,000 x 12,000 fulongs (1500 x 1500 x 1500 miles – Tampa west to New Mexico; north to Canada)

3.       Moses = Heb: drawing out (of the water), i.e. rescued; the Israelite lawgiver /// to pull out (lit. or fig.): draw (out). [“law of Moses” x 22, i.e. the Law].

4.       Solomon = Heb: peaceful; David's son and successsor /// shalom, shaw-lome'; safe, i.e. (fig.) well, happy, friendly; also (abstr.) welfare, i.e. health, prosperity, peace: X wholly. [i.e. Grace]

THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH

(Rev 21:1)  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea [i.e. because there is only fire “For our God is a consuming fire.” Heb 12:29].

1.       (Isa 65:17)  For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

2.       (Isa 66:22)  For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

3.       (2 Pet 3:10-14)  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat [to set on fire], the earth also and the works that are therein [Rev 20:11-15] shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved [melted], what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation [behavior] and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent [“Study to show thyself approved unto God” 2 Tim 2:15] that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

NEW JERUSALEM: THE NEW GARDEN OF EDEN

(Rev 21:2)  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem [to flow as water; to teach & peaceful], coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Amen
