(Judg
6:14) And the LORD looked upon him [the Glory
Light suddenly turned on – Gideon got saved], and said, Go
in this thy might, and thou shalt
save Israel [he will rule as God - the saved] from the hand of the
Midianites [brawling,
contentious, discord, strife – the unsaved]:
have not I sent thee [God’s
first affirmation]? (Judg
6:15) And he said unto him,
Oh my Lord [‘Adonay –
supreme in authority vs. ‘adon – one in authority – in v.13
(evidence of salvation)], wherewith [how]
shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh
[poor materially (physically), and poor in spirit], and I am the
least [(in value) ignoble]
in my father's house. (Judg 6:16) And
the LORD said unto him, Surely I
will be with thee [God’s
second affirmation], and thou
shalt smite the Midianites [who
have “entered into the land to destroy it” v.5]
as one man [unfulfilled
prophecy].
1.
“as one man” = Your army shall smite the Midianite host of
135,000 as if they were one man.
2.
“as one man” = Your army shall smite the Midianite host of
135,000 as if you were one man, unified
in the Body of Christ – a composite many membered Body with the full
mind of Christ, each member of the Body in complete accord, i.e.
when the Lord appears (the second coming) – in
you.
3.
(Rom 8:18) For I
reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to
be compared with the glory which shall be revealed
[to take off the cover, disclosed] in us.
4.
(2 Th 1:7-12) And to
you who are troubled [suffer
tribulation] rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be
revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In
flaming fire taking
vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not
the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with
everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the
glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified
in his saints, and to be admired in
all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed)
in that day. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would
count you worthy of this calling,
and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith
with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified
in you, and ye
in him, according to the
grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
5.
(Rom 12:4,5) For as
we have many members in one body [11x],
and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are
one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6.
(2 Tim 2:3,4) Thou
therefore endure hardness [i.e.
tribulation], as a
good soldier [warrior] of
Jesus Christ. No man that warreth [to
serve in a military compaign] entangleth himself with the affairs of
this life; that he [Who he?]
may please him who hath chosen [selected] him to be a soldier. [You’re
in the Army now!
THE ARMY OF GOD IS BEING FIGURATIVELY RAISED UP, TO
FULL EMPOWERMENT
Ezek 37:1-14
“and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army”; 1 Th
4:13-18 “to meet the Lord in the air”; Rev 6:12-Rev 7:17 sealing the
saints with the fullness;
Rev 20:4-6
“the first resurrection”
THE SIXTH SEAL IS OPENING: I HEAR A SOUND…
(Joel
2:1,2) Blow
ye the trumpet [of assembly]
in Zion [the fifth feast, The Feast of Trumpets, the fifth seal – Great
Tribulation: Rev 6:9-11; 7:13-17 – Judg 6:1 “seven years”], and sound an alarm in
my holy mountain [“then the camps (army)… shall go forward” Num 10:1-9]:
let all the inhabitants of the land tremble
[shake]: for the day of the
LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand [the
sixth feast, the Feast of Atonement, the sixth seal: Rev 6:12-Rev 7:17]; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick
darkness [for the unsaved],
//// as the morning [dawn]
spread upon the mountains [for
the saved]: a great people and a
strong; there hath not been ever the like [i.e. a people forevermore walking in the fullness of the Holy Spirit], neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many
generations [i.e. to the end
of the Millennium].
1.
(Num 10:9) And if ye
go to war in your land
against the enemy that oppresseth you
[to cramp: adversary, besiege, bind up, shut up], then
ye shall blow an alarm with the [two
silver] trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD
your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
2.
(Exo 14:19,20) And
the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel [Jehovah:
Exo 13:20,21], removed and went behind them; and the
pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind
them: And it came between
the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it
was a cloud and darkness to
them [the Egyptians], but it
gave light by night to these [the
Israelites]: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
(Joel
2:3-8)
A fire devoureth before them [a
pillar of fire, i.e. they shall then be pillars of fire]; and
behind them a flame burneth:
the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a
desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing
shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses
[i.e. power, might]; and as horsemen
[powerful men, mighty men –
“The LORD is with thee (forevermore), thou mighty man of valour”
Judg 6:12)], so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the
tops [shaking] of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a
flame of fire that
devoureth the stubble [“wood,
hay, stubble” 1 Cor 3:12], as
a strong [mighty] people set in battle
array. Before their face the people shall be much pained
[to dance, to writhe in pain]: all faces shall gather blackness
[darkness vs. gather light]. They
shall run like mighty men;
they shall climb the wall like
men of war; and they shall march
every one on his ways, and they
shall not break their ranks [i.e.
no quarreling: brawling, contentiousness, discord, strife]: Neither
shall one thrust another [i.e. no
denominational disputings]; they shall walk every one in his path:
and when they fall upon the sword, they
shall not be wounded.
1.
(Isa 5:26-30) And he
will lift up an ensign
[nec, nace; pole] to the
nations from far, and will hiss
[(as a call)] unto them from the end of the earth: and,
behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: None shall be weary
nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep;
neither shall the girdle [belt]
of their loins be loosed [“having
your loins gird about with the truth” Eph 6:14],
nor the latchet of their shoes be broken [i.e.
loosed “your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace”
Eph 6:15]: Whose arrows [thunder-bolts]
are sharp, and all their bows
bent, their horses' hoofs [split hoof:
cloven-footed] shall be counted like flint [i.e. able to set on fire], and their wheels [a
type of Holy Spirit empowerment] like a whirlwind [a
type of God]. Their roaring shall be like a lion [the
Lion of Judah], they shall roar like young lions [a many membered Body]: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the
prey [Jer 16:16], and shall
carry it away safe, and none
shall deliver it [rescue it,
save]. And in that day they shall roar against them like the
roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold
darkness and sorrow, and
the light is darkened in the heavens thereof [the
sixth seal: Rev 6:12-Rev 7:17].
2.
(Num 21:5-9) And the
people spake against God, and
against Moses, Wherefore have
ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no
bread, neither is there any water
[but they had the Rock: Num 20:10,11; Psa 78:20]; and our soul loatheth this light
bread [manna]. And the
LORD sent fiery serpents [burning, poisonous serpents] among the people, and they bit the
people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people
came to Moses, and said, We have
sinned, for we have spoken
against the LORD, and against
thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.
And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee
a fiery serpent, and set it
upon a pole [nec, nace]: and it
shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh
upon it, shall live. And Moses made a
serpent of brass [base (as
compared with gold or silver): filthiness – i.e. a
type of sin], and put
it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had
bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent
of brass [i.e. his sin], he
lived.
3.
(Luke 3:16) John
answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one
mightier than I cometh, the
latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose [break]: he shall baptize you
with the Holy Ghost [salvation
– at His first coming] and
with fire [judgment – at His
second coming – the sixth seal: Rev 6:12–Rev 7:17]:
(Joel 2:9-11) They
shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall
[of protection], they shall climb up upon the houses; they
shall enter in at the windows like a thief [1
Th 5:1-5]. The earth shall quake
[shake] before them; the heavens shall tremble
[shake: 4x]: the sun and the moon
shall be dark [darkened: be black], and the
stars shall withdraw their
shining: And the LORD shall utter
his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong
[powerful, mighty] that executeth
his word: for the day of the
LORD is great and very terrible; and
who can abide it?
1.
(Rev 6:12,13) And I
beheld when he had opened the
sixth seal [the sealing of the
saints with the fullness of the Holy Spirit; first the officers in the
Army of God: Rev 7:4, then the enlisted men and women: Rev 7:9],
and, lo, there was a great earthquake [Heb 12:26-28]; and the
sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth
her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
2.
(Amos 8:12) And they
shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they
shall run to and fro to seek the
word of the LORD [the pure,
the true, the unadulterated Word of the LORD: Phil 4:8],
and shall not find it. [Why
not even now? Because the dispensation of Grace is ending - the Light is
being withdrawn (2 Th 2:6,7), the land is rapidly darkening, and
Judgment cometh].
