“false christs, and false prophets” (Mat 24:24) “shall deceive many” (Mat 24:5,11)

(Mat 24:1-3)  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple [a symbolic action in this context]: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down [i.e. the destruction of the church in apostasy]. And as he sat [teaching position] upon the mount of Olives, the disciples [a learner, pupil] came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign [indication] of thy coming [Second Coming], and of the end of the world [aion; this age]?

1.       (Psa 127:1)  A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2.       (1 Cor 6:19)  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

3.       (1 Pet 2:5)  Ye also, as lively stones [“living stones” NKJV; NIV], are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

4.       thrown down = Gk: to loosen down (disintegrate), to demolish (lit. or fig.): destroy, dissolve, come to nought, overthrow /// "loosen" (lit. or fig.): break (up), destroy, dissolve, (un-) loose, melt, put off. 

THE WHITE HORSE OF STRONG DELUSION

(Mat 24:4,5)  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive [delude] you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ [anointed (i.e. saved, born again)]; and shall deceive many.

1.       (2 Cor 11:13-15)  For such are false apostles [pseudapostolos; a spurious apostle, i.e. pretended preacher: false teacher], deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed [“transforms himself” NKJV] into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as [“transform themselves into” NKJV] the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2.       apostle = apostolos; a delegate; spec. an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ (with miraculous powers): apostle, messenger, he that is sent.

3.       (Rom 12:2)  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

4.       (Phil 1:6)  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you [the Holy Spirit] will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ [i.e. His Second Coming. But why “until”? Because at His Second Coming, the transformation process shall be completed]:

5.       (Rom 8:16-19)  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children [teknon; a child] of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed [to take off the cover, disclosed] in us [2 Th 1:7,10,12 & Isa 40:5; 1 Pet 4:13]. For the earnest expectation of the creature [(all) creation] waiteth for the manifestation [disclosure: appearing, coming, lighten, be revealed, revelation] of the sons [huios; (mature)] of God.

6.       (2 Th 2:8-12)  And then shall that Wicked [the 666 man] be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan [i.e. a composite man, or a “bundle” (Mat 13:30) of men in counterfeit of the members of the Body of Christ: “Goliath” 1 Sam 17:4, “antichrist” 1 John 2:18, “the beast” Rev 13:1] with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth [i.e. Jesus Christ: John 14:6], that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness [i.e. lawlessness].

7.       (Rev 6:1,2)  And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals [i.e. the first seal], and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts [zoon; a live thing, i.e. an animal] saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse [“light,” a counterfeit of Rev 19:11]: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown [the father of lies: John 8:44 “strong delusion”] was given unto him: and he went forth conquering [to subdue: overcome, prevail, get the victory], and to conquer.

8.       (John 8:43,44)  Why do ye not understand my speech [i.e. “tongue”]? even because ye cannot hear [receive] my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts [a longing (espec. for what is forbidden)] of your father ye will do [lawlessness]. He was a murderer from the beginning [“Ye shall not surely die” Gen 3:4], and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. [The base or foundation of “strong delusion” is lies, and its motivation is lust]. 

THE RED HORSE OF WAR

(Mat 24:6)  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

1.       (Rev 6:3,4)  And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. 

THE BLACK HORSE OF FAMINE

(Mat 24:7,8)  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows [a pang or throe, esp. of childbirth: pain, sorrow, travail].

1.       (Rev 6:5,6)  And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances [scales] in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not [to be unjust, do wrong to] the oil and the wine. 

THE PALE HORSE OF DEATH

(Mat 24:9)  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted [pressure: anguish, persecution, tribulation, trouble], and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

1.      (Rev 6:7)  And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. (Rev 6:8a)  And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him 

SUMMATION

THE FIRST FOUR SEALS = MY FOUR SORE JUDGMENTS

(Rev 6:8b)  And power was given unto them [the first four seals] over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword [war – red horse], and with hunger [famine – black horse], and with death [death – pale horse], and with the beasts of the earth [? – represented by which horse?].

1.       beasts = G2346 - therion: a dangerous animal: (venomous, wild) beast.

2.       (Eccl 3:18)  I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them [make apparent to them], and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

3.       (Ezek 14:21)  For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem [i.e. the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the first four seals – “come and see” TRIBULATION: Rev 1:9], the sword, and the famine, and the noisome [evil] beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? [sword, famine, pestilence = 24x in OT; 2x of the 24x including the evil beast(s): Ezek 5:17 “evil beasts” & Ezek 14:21]

(Mat 24:10-14)  And then shall many be offended [entrapped, tripped up (fig. stumble or enticed to sin, apostasy)], and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets [beasts] shall rise, and shall deceive many [Mat 24:5]. And because iniquity shall abound [illegality, violation of law or (gen.) wickedness: unrighteousness], the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

1.       (Rev 13:1)  And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast [a dangerous animal: (venomous, wild) beast] rise up out of the sea [of humanity – “revealed” 2 Thes 2:8], having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy [vilification (espec. against God): blasphemy, evil speaking, railing].
